Eby Street Bodega

We had a fantastic breakfast at Eby Street Bodega! We ordered the egg and cheese focaccia sandwich, focaccia barese, and two cups of coffee. The atmosphere was delightful, and the food was sooo delicious. The owner was incredibly friendly. He made our day. Highly recommend!😍❤❤❤

My initial thought was, 18.99 for a sandwich seems a bit steep. And then I took a bite of my sandwich and realized it was DEFINITELY worth it. The meat was fresh and flavourful and the toppings elevated that solid base. The bun - perfection to hold this beast of a sandwich together. The aioli was absolute perfection.
I will be back, for sure.
The overall ambiance was top notch. Please be aware that it is a small kitchen and a single chef so if it is busy, expect a wait to get your food.

Cannot say enough good things about this beautiful business. The food is spectacular, service is amazing and the atmosphere is unmatched. Do not pass on the cookies… and the cheese.. honestly you should probably try one of everything. Grateful to have a place like this within kw- a must if you’re checking out the city.

This cozy little nook of the city has quickly become my favourite place in all of Kitchener-Waterloo. Everything from the picturesque decor to the heartwarming service is perfect about this establishment.
The highlight of my weekly grocery run at Kitchener Market is the hoagie that I get here afterwards. Their rotating menus only make the experience that much more exciting.
I only wish I didn't have to leave the city every four months so I could visit here more often.

Eby Street Bodega holds a very special place in my heart. The hoagies, focaccia & brown butter white chocolate chip cookies are all to die for. Their wine selection is also lovely!

Went here on a whim to grab a Sammy and it was really good. Had the Diablo with all of the hot meats and banana peppers.

Also picked up some smaller spices which I can't wait to try out.

Always a good vibe, incredible sandwiches, quality ingredients and friendly service! Hands down the best sandwich shop.

The holy grail of hoagies.

just popped in for a mortadella sammie and a choco chip cookie. as per all the other reviews, the sammie was delicious and had a lot of different flavours going on! the cookie was decadent. it is defo worth the visit!

The slow roasted port shoulder sandwich is the best I’ve ever had. So meaty, tender, and well balanced with the other toppings! The caprese was also great and their chocolate chip cookies were so good. Their menu changes everyday so make sure to check what’s available during the week. Our only complaint would be the service being slow.

One of my favourite DTK spots. Fantastic food, good items on sale, great service, dreamy patio. If you’re near the Kitchener Market, stop by and get a hoagie from their ever changing menu. Today there was one of the best hot dogs of my life on sale. It was almost too good. Would recommend to anyone.

Went here for lunch with a friend for 1:15 on a farmer’s market Saturday.I heard good things we finally got the chance to go, it was exceptional.It was busy so we were told it could be a 40 min wait (on the high end just in case)it was not anywhere near that long.I think we only waited about 20 min.In the meantime we had a drink and chatted, then some people left and we got a seat.Our food came out shortly after.We both had the Italian hoagie and it was epic!!I was not prepared for that spicy kick, but it worked great with the fresh ingredient's.Decent portion of meat.That crusty bread.The cheese…🤤

This place is a gem!!! Sandwiches are made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. The Bari-style focaccia is mount watering — crispy on the outside, soft and airy on the inside. Get the basque cheese cake if it's available and definitely have to grab a selection of the cookies that are available. They also have high quality provisions like tinned fish, castelvetrano olives, labneh and well curated cheese.

Love this bodega! The vibe, the sandwiches, the high quality groceries, and the specialty desserts, everything! Eat a sandwiches there then I usually take home some focaccia, labneh dip, olive oil, and Italian spiced cookies. Also loved their to go charcuterie boxes ! Delicious! Thank you !

Some of the best food I have ever eaten. There is so much care that goes into every sandwich, drink, cookie or whatever else you get from Eby. Dino and Ana are always amazing to speak to, as well as the rest of the staff. Eby Street Bodega is a cornerstone of the community and I hope is here for many years to come.

The Suze and Rick show here. Just to say Eby Street Bodega wins again. We lucked out in two big ways today. We both had free mornings AND we knew where to go for (I do not exaggerate) THE BEST SANDWICH and COOKIES anywhere. The owners of this fab place know food, excellent food.. If you haven’t been, stop what you are doing and head there now. If, like us, you are a repeat customer, well, lucky you.

How lucky is Kitchener Waterloo. How lucky am I. We move into the DTK neighborhood and we find this gem of a bodega/bistro. The owners know their onions. The food is excellent all around. The curated grocery, meat, cheese, wine and cookbook selection is all drool-worthy. All I can say is “more, more, please” and peeps…”don’t miss out on this place.”
