Muya Restaurant

Our evening at the restaurant was fantastic from start to finish. As soon as we walked in, we felt welcomed by the cozy atmosphere. Opting for the platter for two turned out to be a brilliant decision as it allowed us to indulge in a variety of mouthwatering dishes. Throughout our meal, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, adding to the overall enjoyment of the experience. Despite it being a busy Friday night, the restaurant managed the crowd well, ensuring that we didn't feel cramped or rushed. Additionally, the service was impressively quick, with our food arriving promptly after ordering. Overall, it was a memorable dining experience that left us eager to return for more culinary delights.

Came here for dinner and the food was so so delicious. Everything smells so good. Lighting and interior are also very nice. Totally rec for a little date night spot or a place to eat with friends & family 😁
I would recommend the adventure platter for two or three people, gives you lots of food to take home (unless you’re REALLY hungry).

The food at Muya is superb and arrives at the table quickly. The service is friendly and casual. The ambient Ethiopian music is great. Excellent, excellent, excellent!

We went in for a lunch on Saturday. Great fully vegan platter with lots of lentils, split peas and veggies. We loved the pumpkin soup too. All was amazing. Could not finish it all. Generous portions. We will be back.

Fantastic vegan options at this authentic Ethiopian restaurant. Love love vegan platter. Lots of food for two. There is a spinach dish that I can't get enough of. You should go.

Very nice atmosphere, service was prompt and kind, and the food was delicious (as well as coffee). This was my first time trying Ethiopian food!

Such a great spot to share a meal! Everything was flavourful and done just right.

Authentic and interesting experience. Casual environment with very friendly service. The coffee service is quite unique. They roast the coffee on premise, bring out the roasted beans for you to smell and then make an authentic pot of Ethiopian coffee and pour it into small cups for you to enjoy. Like an espresso, very smooth and concentrated. Worth checking out for a unique experience.

Must try. Many unique dishes and options for vegan diets. The spice mixture was fantastic on many of the dishes. The sponge bread is great tasting and very filling. I would highly recommend the Ethiopian coffee to finish the meal. Portion size is great. Service was a little slow and they did not explain everything, that I would expect (conserving we let them know it was our first time there). Regardless of the service, the meal and value still makes it a 5 out of 5.

My wife and I had the vegan full circle dish. It was amazing and flavourful!
The place was nice and clean, and the people who served us we’re also really nice!

I am so excited about finding Muya. I’ve tried Ethiopian food in Toronto and this was better by far. The food was amazing SO flavourful, great portions, and the service was wonderful. Can’t wait to return.

Tried this restaurant for the first time- food was amazing and the coffee was probably some of the best I’ve had!

Food was amazing (flavour, texture and everything in between). The discovery dish (pictured) allows for 1 meat dish + 3 veggie dishes. Meal is very filling for under $25. Service was good too, despite it being one server only. Highly recommended to anyone looking for amazing, tasteful food.

The food is absolutely delicious! A good variety of Ethiopian food, all served with the typical injera bread/crepe instead of utensils. After dinner, the traditional coffee served was freshly roasted, strong and extremely flavourful; they even brought the roasting coffee beans to the table to smell mid-roast.

Perfect serving sizes, appropriate prices, clean and uncluttered dining area, and personable service are all reasons we will be frequent guests to the Muya restaurant! Very impressed!!!

Always really good. One of my favourite Ethiopian places ever (rivals Nazareth in Toronto). They have really tasty stews (and vegan options), and are generous with injera. Super lovely people :)

Possibly the best Ethiopian in town!

I've been to a few and this was delicious, lovely atmosphere and very speedy and friendly service. Tried the veggie combo where you can pick 5 out of their 9 different vegetarian options and on top of that we tried one of the meat dishes. They each had their own unique flavours and loved them all. Bon appetit!!!

Great authentic food, nice atmosphere! Does not look super inviting from outside but once you enter it is a different world!

Very tasty. Especially good for vegetarians. Really liked the injera (bread) and sauce as well as the beef dish. Construction is going on so when it's over this will be an even better spot.

I ordered the veggie combo,mild. You pick the various side dishes which are served on injera, made from leavened teff flour. I had five different side dishes all made with their special Ethiopian spices. Eg. Shimbra Asa, chickpea dumpling sauteed in a red onion and berber. stew You scoop the food up with the injera. unique & tasty
