Orono Agricultural Society - Orono Fair

I went to the fair with my daughters family for the first time. My three young grandchildren had a really good time going on rides and playing games. The people were very friendly and I enjoyed seeing all the animals. Of course parking was a problem because there were so many people there that day. Otherwise, it was worth the trip to Orono.

Absolutely recommend everyone to check it out!
Every volunteer/worker on the ground was amazing! Extremely helpful, warm and inviting. It felt like one big family!

Parking and shuttle was very well organized. If you park on main street, it's a 6-9min walk and there are lots of spaces.

Purchasing tickets at the gate was easy and fast!

The musical presentations were amazing. We enjoyed hearing all the bands play. I also loved seeing all the artwork and craft work on display! We sure have some talented and creative kids!

The wool yarn spinning was very informative. Kids and adults will enjoy this as well as seeing all the chickens, ducks, sheep, goat, cows and horses.

Washrooms were cleaned regularly and easily accessible.

The games and rides are in a separate section (feels like a mini CNE) minus the long lines.

Tons of vendors with unique products. We picked some lovely souvenirs from @majswoodworking

The food was amazing!!! Tons of areas to sit and dine. Our favorite was Potato Factory truck Poutine.

If you're a fan of trucks, it's a great opportunity to see them up close and sit in them.

Our favorite part of the whole fair was the demolition derby! What an amazing event! Hats off to the ground crew that worked hard to clear the field of debris and to reset the tracks. We loved "OPP" and "HotWheels" and "89!"

Highly recommend visiting. Loads of fun for the family.

Such a fun fair and I absolutely love the food this year. I got the Pueblo tacos from that booth and they were just so good. They're homemade. Chips were to die for. I would love to see this guy again!

Always a fun time every year! Free shuttle service is amazing, with very minimal waiting. A few more food trucks would probably be nice. Good variety of rides at the midway for little ones.

Loved the setup of the fair in 2023. Rides were in two sections and worked out fantastic between the older and younger kids. Fantastic time as always

2022 so happy to be back at the fair. Well organized, and all the volunteers are super helpful and friendly. Thrilled to see my favorite Uncle win the antique tractor pull, 16 competitors, and at 87 years old he proves that age is just a number! My grandgirls entered the goat showman classes for the first time with their pet pygmy goats, and had a great time. Well done everyone. Looking forward to next year.

I've been going since I was little as I grew up in Orono! Now I'm proud to take my own kids and they love it!

Went to the fairgrounds Saturday evening to see the fireworks. What an awesome display!! It was a very enjoyable way to spend the evening. Great job by everyone involved. Thanks so much for putting it on and I hope you got lots of donations to the food banks. Wonderful!!!

What a wonderful family farm fair. Lots of educational exhibits, lots of food choices and the farm animals were aplenty. First time there and already looking forward to next year!

Great day out for the family. Something for everybody of all ages. Proves you can have fun without the "T's"
