The Appleseed Modern Diner

Finally got around to trying this place out. I'm glad I did, I can't wait to come back! Loved the colours of the diner, and I wish I remembered the server's name because she was absolutely fantastic! Very attentive, refilled drinks before you needed to ask and polite. The food was delicious, tasted fresh, and although we were full, it was hard not to try the desserts (something to look forward to next visit). I had the Rueben and the meat was piled high on fresh marble rye. I'd definitely get that again. My husband had the chicken waffle sandwich and gave me a bite, very good! Someone at the table had the Donaire grilled cheese and said it was good. Over all, we thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience here.

I'll try to keep this short and I'd love to not do this review and keep this place a secret but I can't. My experience here was amazing.
We were picking up our puppy after a trip in Egerton and heading back to Halifax and wanted something to eat after getting off the plane. We popped breakfast places to eat while driving on the highway and hit the jackpot.
We weren't expecting it to be so full when we entered and had to wait 15 minutes after which we were asked if we wanted to sit at the bar or wait on a table. We were famished and decided to take the seat at the bar.
To set the scene, the decor and mood is from my favorite era (80s, 90s) and the food was amazing. There were lots of families there making memories and old arcade games are right next door.
Will I be back? The short answer is yes. I will be back even just with no other reason to come that way but to try more of what they have on that menu.
If they can replicate my first experience including the awesome customer service and may become a regular.

Had the buffalo chicken wrap with fries and the amount of fries was insane! The wrap was only so-so, not enough buffalo sauce to differentiate it from a regular chicken wrap. But the portion size made it worth the price. Chocolate milkshake for a classic diner beverage 🍫 Vibe was wonderful, had a great time. Our waitress was friendly and on top of her game. Thanks so much, sure to be back!

Had such an amazing experience here! Drove from Montreal with family and wanted to try a new spot! We got quite a bit of food to share amongst each other: The Chicken & Waffle Sandwich, Mac’n’ cheese, Fish & Chips, Corned beef hash & eggs, as well as their signature milkshakes. Food was incredible, milkshakes were very tasty and the waitresses were so polite and friendly. Highly recommend!

Loved their menu option, taste, and service. I ordered meatloaf with spinach beetroot salad (one can get fries or rice pilaf). I absolutely loved this balanced plate. My husband had a panfried haddock with rice pilaf and loved it as well. Will return for more. Highly recommended.

Amazing must stop on your way through. It's super clean. Friendly, quick service. And the fish and chips were incredible. Local caught fish with local beer batter and hand cut fries. I'm going to say it "One of the best piecea of fish I've had!" Well done!

I was pleasantly surprised by this place. I ordered a milk shake and hot chicken sandwich. The gravy was quite good and the mashed potatoes tasted real (instead of how they can sometimes taste boxed as these types of places). The service was quick and friendly.

Food was delicious ( Spicy Peanut Burger with fries), service was good, and the place had modern diner vibes, which was great

Absolutely amazing!! I always make sure I visit this place when I’m in the area. Food has always been delicious and the service is perfect as usual. Definitely a great diner to go to if you’re new to the area!

The donair grilled cheese was awesome. Lots of meat and very good flavor. Donair sauce was tasty. Fries were thin cut and good. Wife had the Thanksgiving on a bun and Tomato soup and loved it. Would definitely return!

Amazing food, and fantastic service! We stopped in on our way back to Halifax and this will likely be one of our stops next time we are in the area. Good value for what you get and food tasted fantastic

Very clean and vibranet. Our server Anna was super friendly, helpful and checked on us several times to make sure everything was good. The Reuben sandwich was huge and very delicous. The spinach and beet salad was also delicous and very large. I highly recommend this place.

Great place to stop for a bite to eat. Reuben was quite the tasty sandwich and you get fries for days. You won't leave this place hungry. Will tackle dessert next time I visit.

I had the donair grilled cheese which was an amazing combination of a classic donair mixed with a grilled cheese made on white bread from a local bakery. The chocolate milkshake was also amazing.

Very good food, super friendly and nice staff. Interior looks cool too. Highly recommended for good beer and basic food.

Would give 10 stars if I could. Overall great experience. It was busy but we were still seated quickly and the food came surprisingly quick as well. Staff was prompt and polite.
I ordered the donair grilled cheese and the soup of the day was curry corn chowder which I wasn't sure about but it was amazing.

Nice restaurant and nice staff food was delicious with lots of options and grate prices 10/10 will visit again.

Plz don't change the Gravy! Loved how Unsalty & Different it was (SO GOOD!) LOVE the Cranberry Mayo on my Clubhouse. Was Clean & Crisp (could use a bit more Decor but color scheme was Fun) Good Portions & Prices... plus Free Double Bubble! Bacon was Good & Done to Perfection.
