Le Général Café

Very cute café. The food and service were both wonderful. Yummy real potatoes (not the deep fried frozen ones) and the homemade jam was delicious. I highly recommend.

This restaurant is very cute, cozy, and rustic. They serve breakfast and lunch (however, please note that they are closed on Saturdays!).

The menu includes many clearly labelled vegan dishes such as bagel BLT, tempeh naan sandwich, veggie pate sandwich on local artisan bread, chili, breakfast sandwiches. I love that these vegan options all have a protein source and are made very flavorful with vegan cheese and mayo. The drinks can be made with various types of plant milk at no extra charge. I really enjoyed my almond flat white and veggie pate sandwich.

The service is friendly. The prices are reasonable. The serving sizes are perfect - filling, but not overly huge like some other breakfast/brunch places. I highly recommend this restaurant if ever you stop by Val-David.

This place is absolutely amazing! While in Val David, I ate breakfast here every day. When I next return, I will come back to this place. The food is delicious, the service is incredibly friendly, the location is beautiful, and the coffee is amazing. Plus, you can order off a website in advance so that you arrive with you food hot and ready to eat! That's perfect if you want to get on with your day quickly with all of the wonderful recreational activities the region has to offer. Perfect!

Popped by the cafe for a quick bite after a day out in the sun and was floored by how delicious everything we had was. The staff were helpful and patient, walking us through their menu. Highly recommend it

Loved this place! Creative and unique spins on simple sandwiches and salads and more. As a parent of a young child, this was amazing because of the on-site play area and sandbox. A beautiful memory!

Chère Angèle, where else can go, get some great food and drinks and know exactly where all the food is coming from? I had the club sandwich that was way too big for one. But the bread was from Ste-Lucie boulagerie, the bacon was from the local butcher and so on. I had the best ever sangria too. All of this served with a large smile and lots of love! Merci beaucoup

Very vegan friendly with yummy hot drinks, smoothies and microbrews

Great fresh food and drinks, smoothies are super. We stopped for lunch after a kayak and bike ride. Alot of fresh ingredients. More than satisfied! Location is great, off the busy main street. Balcony or inside, lots of space. People are super nice.

Great vegan/vegetarian options. Loved the Natural salad!! This was a great surprise to find after hiking in the area.

After a hot day of cycling on Le Petit Train du Nord this summer (40c) we stopped here for a meal. We had the vegan BLT. It was so delicious. Easy to order, and amazing coffee and chocolate croissants. We returned this fall and they did not disappoint. Highly recommend this restaurant.

great place with OK prices and Good food

This place is extremely cozy. Great atmosphere, great food. Quite place during the week perfect to just sit around and read a book or do some work while enjoying a nice beverage. I am in love with this place.
