Visiting my friends in Canada and this was one of their must go to places. After dining there it met my expectations. Great food and service. Also has a unique old fashioned charm about it. I had the chicken sandwich with the hot honey dipped. All I can say is wow. The fat burger and scallop risotto were what my friends had and they loved there’s. You just have to go visit this place.

My husband and I celebrated our wedding reception in the Dining Room at Maritime Express. We could not be more grateful for the amazing service, excellent food, and personalized touch that the team provided. They went above and beyond to help us plan our layout, set up the space, and ensure that the sound system was all ready for us when we arrived. They provided attentive and timely service. Our meals were chicken and brisket, both of which got rave reviews from the guests. They served gluten free brownies for dessert which were out of this world. If food, service, and budget are important to you, then please consider Maritime Express for your next formal event.

Absolutely stellar experience! Set in an old hotel, the building is incredibly unique and the ciders matched. Great variety in the cider flight. They created a lot of complexity without going overboard with the fruit on their mixed fruit blends. Our server was super knowledgeable and excited that we were having a good experience; he toured us around the hotel and made our night. Appreciated that they were open later on a Monday, unlike many places in the area.

Breathtaking building that has beautiful architecture for a restaurant. Friendly staff and good food/beer. Definitely recommend this place! 😊

Loved this place. Got two flights of cider so we could try all 8 that they had available. Not a bad one in the bunch. The menu was really hard to choose from because everything sounded amazing. I got the chicken sandwhich and it was great. The meat was juicy and cooked perfectly. The staff were super friendly as well

For our wedding we were searching for a reception venue that could accommodate our guest list (around 70), reflected our style and could cater delicious food. We found the perfect fit with Maritime Express Cider Co. in Kentville. Genevieve, Katie and staff were prompt and professional in answering our questions, allowing us time to explore the different spaces available to book and even accommodating a food tasting so we could best choose from their catering menu. Setting up our reception was a breeze as Katie was on hand to help with any questions. We rented linens from the Wedding Vogue, which is conveniently located in the same building. It was easy to decorate as the ballroom is beautiful and full of character. The reception flowed perfectly with the buffet set up (with staff to serve), our own bar and audio equipment available for speeches and music. If you are looking for a space to host an event, I would highly recommend Maritime Express. With a variety of historic spaces, professional staff and unforgettable food, you won’t regret it!

While visiting Nova Scotia my son took me here for lunch. Love the atmosphere and history . My favourite was the POMME D'OR COFFEE. A must to visit if you ever find yourself in Kentville!!

I always have a great time here! The food is delicious, I want to try everything on the menu, but I cannot say no to their fried chicken. The staff is always very upbeat and kind. If there was an option I would give them more stars.

Very cozy environment, very nice staff, welcoming, the fish sandwich very tasty, the fish cakes were good too, the chef's soup was delicious, the decorations and historic location are a plus. Very recommended spot.

The cider flights and our dinner was really good. The shrimps were a stand out, but we liked everything we tried.

Food was really good and decent price (CHEF SALAD WITH SMOKED TROUT and CHILI FLANK STEAK SALAD). The flights of cider are well priced and delicious. Service was excellent

Wow! This place is a gem of Kentville. Beautiful place with very high-end feel. Great selection of in-house ciders and local beers. Make sure to order the large charcuterie board, you will be amazed. Koodos and compliments to the chef and the staff. Thank you!

Quiet spot in Downtown Kentville to stop and have lunch. Was very pleasantly impressed by the Chef's Salad, which was full of greens, fresh pear and crispy chicken. Filling and tasty!

Food is surprisingly good. Its pub food but at the upper end in terms of quality.
I would highly recommend the chicken sandwich it has real fried chicken not pucks.
Classic old building is really nice as well.

I had the Spicy Motherclucker with Frites w/ aioli and green onions on them. It was mothercluckin great! Best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had, it’s a shame I had to go back home. The chicken sandwich is hot honey breaded, comes with an egg, thick cut piece of bacon and firestorm mayo. It was amazing. I had two drinks; a cocktail and their bumbleberry cider, both were really good. When I go back to Nova Scotia I’m definitely eating here again. I’m going to dream about this food. Service was great too, very friendly.

Fantastic food. Good service, great place for an easy meal. We had the top hat burger and steak sandwiches - loved them. Fresh fries. Definitely adding this restaurant to our favourite go-to choices!
