Lucero Canteen

This coffee shop is one of my favourite ones in the KW area. It's a cozy one where you are only allowed to sit and socialize with friends or read books; no laptops. The people working there are very friendly and welcoming. The taste of the coffee is great, and you should also try their pastries, which are fresh and tasty. This place is a must-try.

Small and compact place with mouthwatering coffee and deserts. Being a coffee lover myself, the coffee served here is mind blowing. They have 3 flavours for espresso and it has a unique flavour. If you haven’t tried this cafe yet, then you are missing out on alot of good espresso. The staff is A-star. Cafe is pet friendly

Hands down the best café mocha I've had in KW☺
The coffee is so flavourful and worth every penny.
I also tried the hazelnut croissant which had just the right amount of crunch and filling.
It gets busy very quickly and the interior is super cute.
Will definitely try the other pastries !!
To remember that: no laptops and no outside food/drinks allowed.

Love their different options for espresso and pour over! The decor of this cafe is also super aesthetic and cute, but it does get pretty crowded.

The coffee is amazing. Incredibly smooth and doesn't even need cream! Their baked goods are from terroir bakery, and I must say some of the best baked goods I've ever had and devoured it before I had the chance to take a picture!

Best in Waterloo, only gets better after each visit. Today was exceptional, the coffee was so on point. I have been coming to Lucero since Ianded in KW region. Great variety of espresso and pour overs on offer complimented with very good baked goods, and some even from Terroir Bakery in Cambridge. The more I say about it, is less.

I had an incredibly beautiful experience at this café. The colors, lights, textures, flavors, sounds, and the genuine smiles of the people inside all contributed to a wonderful atmosphere. When I tried the Columbia pour over coffee, it was as if the flavors were dancing in my head, without the unnecessary taste of sugar. Each bite of the scone was also incredibly enjoyable.

I can't wait to go back to this café and try more items from the menu. The fact that it is dog-friendly and laptop/WiFi-free only adds to the already excellent vibe of the place.

Where can I start, this is probably the best coffee place in town. The attention to the small details while making any sort of coffee is impeccable and whenever I've gone here, the coffee taste has stayed with me for a while. The only small and tiny issue that i have with this place is that sometimes, some of the people working there are not the friendliest people I have seen. Nonetheless , I Would recommend this place wholeheartedly.

Super cute cafe! Strawberry matcha latte was delicious - if you love sugar/sweet drinks and matcha you will love it. Also got some bakery items which were lovely. Atmosphere of the shop is nice too. The staff member working was knowledgeable and gave a great recommendation.

Perfect little cafe in Kitchener with amazing choice of different roasts you can choose from. Lovely staff and great baristas. Most New Zealand like cafe I’ve found here and it was great! I wish it could be my regular local

Still the best coffee to be had in the region. You can't get better beans anywhere. The staff are super knowledgeable and easygoing. Strongly recommend to anyone who loves coffee, whether you know a lot or a little.

Amazing coffee. They always have 3 seasonal espresso options to satisfy all taste buds (funky/basic). Great service with baristas that are VERY knowledgeable about coffees. Place a bit small, and cramped when people are lining up.

Best coffee shop in town, hands down. They have a rotating selection of modern specialty coffees, available for both espresso and brewed coffees. This is the place to be if you are into high quality single origin coffees.

This bakery is a real gem!!! I tried their Berliner -chocolate mascarpone- last weekend and omg it was so delicious. (The filling was incredibly generous😳) Although the place was packed on Sunday and no seating available (clear evidence of how good their treats and coffees are) enjoying this donut at home was just as satisfying. Look forward to trying more of their treats! 🤤 (I will def update this review)

Easily my favourite coffee spot in Ontario

Today I think I had one of the best pastries I’ve ever eaten. I’ve had many doughnuts over the years, and the plum filled dream I had today has to be one of the best things I’ve EVER eaten. I’ve been here quite a few times and the coffee and baked goods are remarkable, and the service is always lovely.

This place is always busy. I’ve tried to go here before but it was packed. Luckily I finally got to try this cafe and bakery with my friend. She had a flat white made with dairy and I had a matcha latte with oat milk. We split a raspberry chocolate Berliner. Everything was delicious and my latte art was on point.
The simple decor and overall vibe reminded me of quaint cafés in Portugal.
There is no wifi here and no laptops allowed. Although cozy, this is the place to go to enjoy some social interaction like the original design of cafés were meant to provide.
My favourite seat is along the window bench. It was a beautiful sunny day to take in a warm latte and conversation.

My favourite cafe in the tri cities and beyond. Consistently amazing coffee and pastries, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and a refreshing no wifi/computer zone. And the apricot or plum jam Berliners are a must try!👌
