We went for August 2024 Long Weekend getaway. Checked in Friday until Monday.
Absolutely met our expectations.
Sandra and front desk staff were very attentive. They asked for improvement suggestions and acted on them.
Hotel has been recently and extensively upgraded. It is very well designed and is well maintained. European influences through out. Very good value for price. There is no better place to stay in Falcon Lake. We will return.

Needed a getaway from the city, and The Hotel at Falcon is provides exactly that. My wife and son went the week prior and raved about everything, but mostly the service and the beds (she said she had the best sleep in years). I went with my dog for a night away, and couldn’t agree more. The bed is probably the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve ever stayed in. From the front desk, to the bar, to the kitchen staff, and overall management, service was top notch. The only thing I’m disappointed in is that I wasn’t able to stay longer lol

I’m so happy that the new ownership has put this building back into operation, and the renovations look fantastic. Falcon is a terrific getaway, and we now have a place to stay as I guarantee we will be back numerous times!

We came for an anniversary dinner at the 1964, and had the absolute best experience! Our waiter was amazing, and did an incredible job at checking in and being available but giving us all the space that we needed. The food was amazing and we were treated like royalty. We stopped for a drink downstairs and the front desk and bar staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The recent renovations are beautiful! Well worth the drive from Kenora - we will be back!

They were great. I took a group of high school students for a year end trip and they were nothing but accommodating the whole time. Everyone was so friendly and welcoming, they helped out where they could and it was overall a great experience. We stayed in the cabins and it was perfect since we got the chance to stay close and enjoy the fire pits provided for us. Nice and close to the lake which is a huge bonus!

What an incredible spot to stop in at and let go! I haven’t been to this hotel in years and the new owners have completely re-designed the hotel! They have added some incredible features. The Outdoor gas fire pit is so cool. To sit outside and embrace the skies and just relax is high on my bucket list. They have really created a destination vacation. Highly recommend this place for a weekend getaway. The 1964 restaurant was delightful. This executive chef did not disappoint. With all the walking trails and other venues to see it a gorgeous venue. The gift shop is also a cute feature. Well done!

We absolutely loved the newly renovated hotel..
Mike and Sandra have turned this into a destination hotel..the Sinatra lounge is second to none...moody,sexy and aptly named..
The 1964 restaurant has large portions of delectable selections..
We loved the braised short ribs...cooked for 15 hours...melts in your mouth...and the arancini are "perfection"
Caprese salad...WOW
Mussels.... incredible flavor. And HUGE..
This hotel and it's amenities will put falcon lake on the map....
Upscale touches... LOVE the new look..and feel..

Just spent a fun weekend at the hotel attending a wine tasting dinner event, that was both delicious and fun! My steak was cooked perfectly and was tender and juicy, and the rest of the meal was just as well executed. The sommelier, who came out from Calabria Market in Winnipeg was very knowledgeable and shared fascinating facts about the wines and their origins. Not only did they offer a lovely variety of wine, but also generous amounts were poured.
The rooms were very comfortable, especially the beds as we lay enjoying the gas fireplace in February. As other reviews have mentioned, the heated bathroom floor were also much appreciated. I didn’t see the hotel before the recent renovations but I imagine you will have to book well in advance to stay during the summer months as this newly renovated hidden gem won’t stay hidden for long.

My friend and I had a lovely weekend at The Hotel at Falcon Lake! The staff were warm and welcoming from the moment we arrived. The beds were extremely comfortable and we appreciated having a fridge, coffee maker and an electric fireplace in our room. We had a lot of fun at the wine tasting event! The wine and the filet mignon were delicious and we made some new friends!

What a great weekend escape we had at The Hotel at Falcon Lake! The hotel is absolutely beautiful, the staff made us feel like we are family and the food is spectacular! The outdoor fire pit with light snow falling was so nice. A morning sleigh ride followed by an afternoon cross country ski wrapped up with a dinner to remember! Can’t wait to go back!👌 As someone who travels regularly for a living I’ve slept in too many hotel beds to remember but I’ll never forgot how comfortable the bed was here! And did I mention heated floors in the bathroom? Come on now, stop it.. just get yourself booked in here and you’ll thank me later!

Best service hands down. The GM, AGM, Kelly from maintenance, and our servers all went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. They even gave my daughter a pet fish for while she was there.

Thanks so much everyone! Xx

After a quick snowfall, making the roads pretty much unbearable to drive on, I pulled into Falcon Lake, and I am very happy that I did. Keep reading as i am getting to the good part. The lady checking me in was so very helpful and very kind. I was asking about where to eat since it was after 9pm, checking in. The in-house pub had really great food and about 25 VLT machines. The rooms were so clean and the beds it was like sleeping on a cloud.....at 3am I woke up to do what most people do at 3am use to washroom. When I walked into the area, to my sleepy delight......heated freaking bathroom floor. My feet were like hold up, Wait a minute we staying put right here. I had to stand in that position soaking up that heat. I almost felt like grabbing my pillows and finishing the rest of the night on that floor. I will definitely be back, I have now found a favorite hotel.

Our stay at the Hotel at Falcon Lake was memorable. The rooms were super clean and the views (location) were amazing. The food at the restaurant (Black Bear Tavern) was really good, as well as their staff and their service. They we were really kind and accommodating towards us. The check in was easy and no problems what so ever regarding our room.

The staff and the owner of the hotel were kind and always asked us about how our day was doing and if our rooms were to our liking. They were very accommodating and whenever we had request they would see to it right away.

We will be back again soon to book with the hotel!

We were very pleased to find this hidden gem when needing a place to rest. Fireplace, fridge, coffee capsules, big screen TV, everything you'd want for a cozy stay. Beautifully remodeled rooms, including bar and restaurant on site. And our off season rate was much better pricing than Kenora accommodations. Staff went the extra mile to make sure our stay was pleasant. Will be stopping by again.

Was fortunate to attend a soft opening in the black bear tavern. The design and decor was stunning! The new owners have thought of every detail and even have rose on tap!!!!!! They have maintained the vibe of the original era in a fresh new way! As a long time cottage owner in the area, I am so pleased to have this hotel revamped and it is a wonderful addition to the community. Looking forward to spending more time here. Highly recommend

Stayed the weekend here and left feeling total relaxed and recharged. The rooms were very clean and had one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in. Being practically beach front, the location is perfect for families looking for place to make memories and literally seconds away from the golf course makes it the perfect candidate for a gateway spot with friends. Levi and the team really pull out all the stops at both in-house restaurants, so if heading there for a night, make sure to ask for a reservation for the Italian restaurant upstair and enjoy an authentic dinner while looking out over Falcon lake. Will definitely go back again and again!!

We had dinner on Saturday night in 1964 and to say it was amazing would be an understatement. I understand why they are taking reservations so they can control the flow. The food took a little long to come out but wow was it worth it. Thank you to everyone upstairs and the new owners for taking on such a massive project for all of us to enjoy. You have our support while you get all of the staffing and the rest of your exciting place set up. Look forward to coming back soon. Truly amazing

We went last weekend for a girls trip and had a blast. From the moment we checked in, we felt how welcoming and relaxed the environment was. One of our highlights of the weekend was dining in the restaurant in hotel. Service was fast and the food was phenomenal. The price point is totally justified by the portion size!

will definitely be recommending and coming back! Don’t forget to try the wine!!

Stayed a night at The Hotel to visit with cousins and slept better than in my own bed! The renovations are stunning and the owners did a wonderful job bringing this mid-century modern hotel back to its glory days. When we arrived we relaxed in the lounge, where they have rose on tap! In the morning, we had delicious eggs benny--which we highly recommend. We brought my 85-year-old dad who has limited mobility and getting him into the room through the sliding patio door was so helpful. Little things like that make a huge difference, when walking is a challenge. The staff are so polite and friendly and are very knowledgeable about the area. The location is just across from the beach and only a few minutes stroll to restaurants, tennis, pickle ball, lawn bowling, mini-golf, and a world-renowned golf course. The Hotel is truly a family-friendly gem in the Whiteshell. We will be back!
