Most chill people have met. The food was great. My highlight was the thick juicy bacon that comes with the eggs and potatoes. The potatoes are well seasoned too. Would recommend.

April 2024: friendly, efficient service. Loved my espresso martini (comes with cream liqueur), orange flower cocktail was strong, the popcorn mushrooms weren't really for me, but my friend enjoyed them. The shrimp arancini hit the spot.
March 2024: had the smoked salmon sandwich, was pretty good, just wish they had a bagel option. The fried chicken is kinda more schnitzel style, it was good. Funky coffee with choco rum and the mimosa were nice. Service was pleasant and efficient. Wish they offered their mushrooms as an optional side.
December 2023: Great decor, friendly efficient service. Pumpkin spice sour was a pretty good mix of fall spices and whiskey.

A new restaurant in Ville-Émard, garden style decoration. Home made bacons were delicious, potatoes were seasoned well, the plate is good size with reasonable price.
We went there for brunch during the week, not in rush hours(half tables were empty). Services were good but the kitchen was slow so we waited longer than normal, I wonder if they are short of employees in the kitchen.
Update: had lunch there I this week, services are much faster than before.

The interior of Monk Café is beautifully designed, creating a wonderful ambiance. I’m giving this place 5 stars because the customer service is outstanding. The owners genuinely care about their business and quickly resolved any issues we had, which made us feel truly valued as customers. The drinks are fantastic, and the staff's service and attitude are impeccable. Plus, they show football matches, which my bf absolutely loved. The atmosphere is lively and inviting. I highly recommend visiting Monk Café — you won’t be disappointed!

Our favourite Cafe! Varied brunch menu, great coffee and friendly service. We brought our dog on the terrasse, and there is a park just across the road. Electric car charging right outside with high capacity chargers a short walk away.

Stumbled upon this Café at dinner time and was a pleasant surprise. Had the chicken burger, was crispy and juicy and the sauce with the avocado slices, all flavorful and delicious

Came here for dinner when I was in town w/ a friend for the Montreal f1 weekend.

The staff were great and greeted us as soon as we went in. Our waitress was very sweet and charming.

The food was exceptional. I got the salmon pasta and it was amazing, and a healthy quantity of food.

Beer and food was priced well.

Atmosphere was great. Cool, subtle, with good music.

Bonus was that my friend and I got to see a firefly (that was glowing) in the restaurant. 1st time ever seeing that and it was awesome.

10/10 place. Would go again next time i'm in town.

Great place which was suggested by a friend that lives in the area. The coffee was great, the food was DELICIOUS and the menu was really creative (definitely need to go back and try a few more dishes). I had the ranchero which was phenomenal and absolutely incredibly priced. My friend had the kale salad which she really enjoyed. The prices on the menu are so surprisingly affordable and shocked me compared to locations offering similar venue/food closer to downtown. The interior design is wonderful and the space even boasts an old Bank vault and exposed concrete wall which was really cool. Service was a bit lacklustre but that’s not to say our server was bad (she was a delight but I think a bit overwhelmed). I think the service kinks will even out as this place continues to operate. Will absolutely be back to try the ricotta pancakes!

My friends have been raving about this place for months, finally got to check it out.
I love a good boozy brunch, and this place doesn't disappoint. Good drink selection, beers, cider and cocktails.
I had the pancakes with ricotta, lardons and maple syrup, it was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. There were at least 5 items on the menu that looked amazing, from shakshuka - not sure about the spelling - or the breakfast sandwich or the eggs Benedict.
Service was friendly and helpful, and not judgemental of us ordering pints at 9am 🤣
Prices were very fair for the quality and quantity of food.
I don't understand why so many hipster brunch places have a lineup that goes around the block when you can come here and eat great without the wait!

It's a new cafe & I'm super happy that I finally have a nice one by my place! I got an oat milk latte on my way to work. The service was excellent, there were free spots for those that would want to sit down & have some food/work in a quiet & comfortable environment. The prices are also fair (especially for a new business!) compared to other cafes I go to in Mtl. This might be just personal preference, but the latte tastes a tiny bit sour for my taste, but that could be because my palate isn't used to the blend they use, or their brand of oat milk. Still good tasty though!

Medium price, small plates. The taste is good, the chef is attentive to the dishes.I like it。

Our first visit was a couple of weeks after it opened for breakfast. Breakfast and coffee were great. The service was friendly but slow.

We've been back a few times and service is better. It's now probably our current favorite local place. The dinner menu is very good, the selection of beer on tap is quite nice and the speed is greatly improved.

Im so happy that this place open close to my apartment ! Such a nice and good cafe ! The matcha is bomb and the food is good too.

Very nice café with good ambience for brunch and fresh products (specially the mushrooms since they have a partnetship with a local producer that you can even buy to take home) Some plates mexican inspired just in case you want to get out of traditional brunch menus. Very polite service and price was decent. Recommended will definitely come back for dinner ( some days they have live music)

I had such a good experience at Cafe Monk. The ambiance, decor, and food were amazing. Special thanks to the service workers! William and Matt were just perfect. Also, best espresso martini I’ve ever had! Will be back for sure.

So happy about Café monk opening! It's currently the soft launch and the official opening is on friday. Delicious food with local ingredients with some fun twists! Beautiful decor. Highly recommend the breakfast sandwich!

Delicious and clean poutine, doesn't feel dirty and greasy. Polite service, atmosphere is very stylish. Bathrooms were especially clean and renovated.

Our first time around, my family and I had a so so experience but the owner and team were very quick to course correct and invited us back for an amazing evening! They took great care of us and we had a phenomenal night/experience. Shout out to our waiter Mateo who was very beloved and to the owners who cared enough about their business to ensure no customer left without being 110% satisfied.
