My husband and I recently dined at Yard Bird, and every aspect of the experience was exceptional.

Kevin, one of the owners, welcomed us warmly. The passion the owners share for local and fresh ingredients truly shines through in the elevated dishes they serve.

I met up with my sister for lunch and this was one of the places she suggested. It was a great friendly atmosphere, staff checked up on us regularly and was super friendly. I love the unique menu. I had the salmon sandwich with their soup of the day (a berry Gazpacho that was very refreshing on a hot day)

As a vegetarian there is always a great option for me. The vibe is on point and the service is amazing. The cocktails are perfectly balanced and creative. Totally recommend 100000%

Such a cosy place to grab a meal. Highly recommend getting the Cornish hen sandwich! Everything was delicious and seasoned so well . Service was A+++

We came here tonight for our wedding anniversary and my birthday. It was fantastic! We started with cocktails and wine and frog legs. The frog legs were very flavourful! We both got the venison for dinner and it was delicious, so tender you didn’t even need a knife to cut it. The mashed potatoes, honestly, amazing. They add horse radish to them and that’s def the secret to a solid mash. We got the bread pudding for dessert and the portion was perfect for two (even though, we were both very full haha). We will be back for sure!

By far, the best dining experience I've had in Bowmanville. Had the braised short rib. It was perfect. Didn't use a knife. Cocktails and dessert were amazing as well. Don't know why we waited so long to come here. Definitely worth the price.

If I could give this place 100 stars I would. Went for my boyfriends work holiday dinner and it was one of the most memorable meals I’ve had in a long time. The filet mignon tar tar was to die for, the seared duck breast was such an exciting dish with so many different flavours that all complimented each other perfectly. My boyfriend had the braised short ribs and they were incredible. Their cocktails were imaginative, delicious and VERY boozy, and the service was fast and friendly. I will definitely make the trip to Bowmanville just to come here again and try everything on the menu!

Food was great, I had the shrimp cake it came with a lovely sauce that had a nice acidity that complimented the shrimp, the cakes themselves were a lot larger than I expected and had a good amount of shrimp in them.

The atmosphere exudes warmth but is also classy I would recommend yardbird for a special occasion

The staff were friendly and courteous, I was watching the kitchen staff and they seemed to have good communication and teamwork.

The wait time was pretty good it took roughly 16 minutes for my meal to arrive although I'm sure wait time depends on what is being served.

Price is hard to determine but for the shrimp cakes but I feel $19 for a filling and delicious meal is worthwhile

I’ve dined at this establishment a few times now and have enjoyed each visit. The food, the atmosphere and the customer service has always been top notch.

If you’re a mushroom lover, I highly recommend trying the pulled mushroom sandwich. So good!

It's perfect for what it is - really well executed modern bistro food. We're lucky to have this in Bowmanville. Surpringly for me, the highlight was the dessert.

Awesome place, unique experience in a small town. Greta place to take my vegetarian friends, always at least one main and a ton of apps available for them. Craft cocktail experience on par with big cities. Highly recommended.

Went to lunch today at the YardBird. Delicious unique food! Their tomatoe basil and Parmesan soup was the best I’ve ever had.
I also had their ham sandwich on the lunch menu, just divine. Will be going back 100%

I ordered takeout.
I had the shrimp cakes - delicious! Large pieces of shrimp with a lovely aioli sauce and pea shoots.
It's the only restaurant in downtown that is open on Sunday and Monday!
They deserve lots of success!

One of the most delicious and enjoyable experiences I have had at a restaurant! The food was incredible and so fresh and flavourful! Our servers were amazing knowledgeable and added to the experience! Will be back again! If you haven’t tried this place, I recommend you do!

So glad that I found a restaurant that I will definitely come back for another time! Cocktail is soooo good and even better than those in a fancy hotels! Duck leg is the dish to die for as it is not only cooks to perfection, but eating it with the bit of the orange peel pushes the entire dish to an other whole new level!

What a cool little place. Very unique and delicious menu. Very welcoming atmosphere. We would have gone back for more but we were traveling. I wish them many years of success!
