Village Restaurant

I originally wanted to try two other places but they were both packed. So fortunately, I ended up here. Loved the Village Special and everything about this place! The pancakes were soft and super flavourful and the rest of the meal was tasty and quite fresh. Such a lively and upbeat diner with affordable prices, where everyone seemed to know everyone else. What a friendly atmosphere!

Friend and I were up on Sunshine Coast for the weekend and we were craving a diner-style breakfast. Had a mushroom and cheese omelette with extra crispy hashbrowns, sourdough toast and a side of extra crispy bacon. The omelette was really cheesy and the bacon was perfect. Food was very solid overall. The service was VERY friendly and welcoming!

I love Mom and Pop type diners. This one was priced for those on a budget and very accommodating for a larger family. Give yourself a little time as the food takes time to cook from scratch. But well worth the wait for a hearty home-style breakfast. Good portions. Visiting from another rural community and greatly appreciated the kindness shown from staff. We will definitely return next time we’re in Sechelt.

Great little diner. Clean and quick service. We had the western omelete with a side of bacon and the two eggs over easy with toast hashbrowns and bacon. Everything tasted delicious and was hot. I was actually a little shocked at how quick the food arrived with how many people were there. Very friendly staff. Easy pay at the till. Good cup of coffee too. Recommend trying this place out for that old diner feeling and quality food!

I was very impressed to see the tip options at 8, 10, and 15%. So many places today START at 15%!

I love coming here, I’ve been twice, reasonably priced, I love the beef dip, loads of beef in a nice long toasted bun, lots of fresh fries, you can tell they are cooked in clean oil. Lovely dip, wonderful service and relaxed atmosphere. I go to the Sunshine Coast every 6 weeks and I will eat here every time.

Delicious simple classic food, friendly family style service, super clean & bright dining room. We had pancakes, eggs, bacon, liver & onions, lasagna and hot beef sandwich. All done perfectly, exceeded expectations! Highly recommend

They don't make restaurants like these anymore. No longer live there, but when I visit I have to go to the Village. That's where the true locals hang out. I remember in the '90s when the Cougar lady and her sister would always be there chatting with their friends. They knew everyone. Classic club sandwich and a side of fries is what I order, or anything on their breakfast menu :)

This place gave me exactly what I wanted. Hot coffee, crispy fries and onion rings, a delicious sandwich, and filling a breakfast.

These guys really know what they’re doing and the customer service was top notch. We went with our toddler and our server was very accommodating and thoughtful.

If I had to be picky I’d say that the corned beef sandwich needed a pickle on the side, and maybe an option for extra meat, cheese, and sauerkraut. Still a lovely sandwich nonetheless.

Will be back again soon as there are many options I would like to try.

Great family restaurant with All Day Breakfast :-)

Probably one of the best diner’s in Canada and it’s not even close.

The Village is the place I always take my out of town guests. Great food/menu, the staff is welcoming, friendly and let you enjoy your meal. The whole vibe is superb. A true gem in Sechelt. Thank-you for an amazing breakfast.

This place is a solid diner. Shredded hash. Great service and just the kinda breakky you want to eat sometimes. :)
