Been coming here for nearly 20 years, but live in Boise, Idaho! Even though our kids are grown now, they still insist on coming and buying something from the store that has provided so many good memories over the course of their childhood. While small in square footage, this store is packed with items you can't find anywhere else. Fair prices, great customer service and a selection of unique toys to engage your children with, add up to a must visit for anyone with kids or grandkids!

My daughters love this placed and I love it even more. Yes, this little store in the heart of Port Moody has it all. You might find the products they carry in some other stores, but what you will not find anywhere, is the welcoming feeling you get when you enter this store and the great people that works here. Really impressed with their customer service. I was here yesterday to buy something for one of my daughters birthday, and also bought two "Gum balls" one for each of my kids. They loved it and where very happy with these squizzy toys. One of my daughters broke her toy and she was devastated, so my wife called me to see if I can stop by and buy another one for her after work, so I did. To my surprise, the two ladies at the Toy Shop told me to take it free of charge. I don't even know why the "Gum ball" broke, don't know if it was deffective or my daughter squeezed it very hard. They didn't ask anything... This is what I call outstanding level of service! Thank you! it

Cozy store with great toy selection. It's a small space but you can tell everything had been carefully and thoughtfully curated. Many items I buy here are one of a kind that can't be found anywhere else. Nice and friendly staff. Mom's pleasure to shop here!

I've always loved this shop, even at its original location, and they've maintained a great atmosphere with their new position. Lots of light, great quality of toys, cool vinyl stickers, and very friendly staff!

Wonderful little toy shop! If he doesn't mind competition, I am sure Santa would approve! The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the store has a fantastic selection of 'no batteries required' toys to spark the minds of our children. Oh and did I mention board games? They have TONS of board games! There is a board game aficionado working there named Nash, be sure to talk to him for some great recommendations. They have a great selection of ‘Thomas the Train’ items and offer gift cards so kids can pick out their favourite locomotive! With three kids, we've gone through it all! Most people think that ‘pricing’ at small ‘mom & pop’ shops like this will be higher but the funny thing is, their pricing is actually better. I’m not sure how they do it but they do! My wife has been a member of their loyalty program for 15 years! They frequently offer discounts and special deals via email which is great! We are fortunate to have The Village Toy shop in our community so remember to ‘keep it local’ when it comes to gifting toys this Christmas and all year!

September 14th, 2020 - Great little toy store with a diverse selection of great quality toys, games, puzzles, and much more. There is a small percentage of poor quality products but if your not happy with your purchase they are happy to take returns. They have unique products which is what we like the most. Most products you will want to collect the entire sets. For example these cute thick quality non-slip socks and water drawing boards. Over the years all staff but ONE has been helpful, friendly, and informative with great communication skills. This company has taken measure to protect staff and customers by having a plexiglas shield installed by the till and by wearing masks. There is no mandatory mask policy for clients entering the store the past 7 times we have been there but there is a cute little handwashing station once you enter to encourage hand sanitization. Thank you for your wonderful service over the years and also doing your part in preventing the spread of infectious disease by implementing protocols to encourage staff and others to protect vulnerable populations.

I like the new shop better than the old one. It's not a big shop but has more than enough of choices for different ages including adults. The prices are fair and sometimes even have very good deals of items on sale. I like that the shop is clean and organized and staffs there are polite and nice. I am glad that Pomo has such a nice little shop.

The village toy shop is a very special place: a locally run, mom and pop store with a great selection of toys and all sort of wonderful stuff for kids of all ages. My kids love going there, it's like walking into a mini theme park! It's a great place to find a special gift for a birthday or Christmas. They also have a section in the back with a great assortment of squishy toys, fidget toys, slime and other small sensory toys which is great for shopping for your child with sensory issues or for ABA sessions. The staff is super helpful, and will help you find what you're looking for and if it's not there they will order it for you. Prices are not outrageous but somethings you might find cheaper online, however you will be supporting a local business and won't have to wait a few days to get you items. Overall, highly recommended to go check it out.

I'm from Alberta, but found this store online. They were amazing! I called and Helena was so friendly and helpful! She shipped my items to me and I got them in a few days. Very fast shipping! I hope one day I can travel out to Port Moody and visit this shop in person!

Incredible staff, they research fun and toys and LOVE what they do! All you need to do is say what you are shopping for (girl turning 9, boy turning 5 likes bugs....) and they have numerous options in several price categories. Always helpful and attentive. If they don’t have it they will order it in, I love their customer service! Cannot say enough good things about The Village Toy Shop. Support our locally owned small businesses!!

This store is full of unique and fun items for kids of all ages.....even items you can't get on Amazon. I got great service from Teresa and enjoy supporting a local, independent business.

Such a fun store. Educational toys and just things you don't see anywhere else. We bought a set of kids blocks from here that have Hiragana on them to learn beginners Japanese. Most of our kids Christmas and birthday shopping is done here.

Friendly staff, great quality toys and kid friendly items. Small store but very cozy and packed with inventory. When you are inside you almost feel like you’re on a movie set. It’s so charming!
