Marché Tondreau

A stylish convenient store with fresh dairy products, breads, spices, fruits and veggies. I loved the poutine cheese there. I also love the look of the place around the corner, passing by in the evenings. It gives me feelings of warmth in the neighborhood.

Quality product, friendly and efficient service! I can plan any meal from A to Z and get everything I need at Tondreau, with helpful advice to boot! Just prepared some pan seared duck breast and wagyu steak cooked exactly as suggested, served with potato fries with truffle salt and parmesan cheese along with roasted vegetables. Divine!

What's not to like about it? Minus their higher prices ... BUT, we have never ever had bad fruits or veggies from them, they always taste delicious, so you get what you pay for! Staff is really nice, and they have unique items. A nice little grocery store to have in the neighborhood. I wish they would install a ramp and an automatic door button, it's extremely difficult to get in with a stroller. They do help if they see me struggling but I shouldn't have to struggle :)

Awesome local food market and butcher with fresh selection of foods and meats. Its pricey but its worth it. Staff is really nice and helpful

Always a pleasure been coming here since Tondreau opened in 1986.....Same name same owner since then ...The staff is super friendly,I had accidentally dropped spices,that I placed my watermelon slice on ,thinking they were plastic when I took my watermelon the spice jars starting falling like dominoes, I was so sorry ,but it was no problem, the staff just hurried along and cleaned it up with a smile on their face , whilst I was apologizing.....
Besides that , I never have any issues with the store ,the prices are just right ,if not better than large supermarkets,I can not & will never buy any meat anywhere but Tondreaus,my ground pork is done on the spot, I usually get 3 lbs made into 6 ½ lbs.....and you cannot beat the price ,or the quality of the meats...
I live alone,I shop a few times a week ,I get my pork chops for an amazing price ....and my steaks.
I have some pork chops in my freezer I took a picture to show an example of 2 good sized seasoned pork chops at $1.76 & $2.77...the prices are amazing ,and it is all Triple A, & different seasonings ,maple pepper and Chipotle ,there is Steakhouse and others .....🙂
I seen a documentary and they showed how big super markets make the ground beef ,they put pieces from about 100 DIFFERENT COWS into the grinder and the same goes for the pork, all that came into my head (besides GROSS) was ,THANK GOD I HAVE TONDREAUS.....

Great little supermarket in the west end of Verdun. Specifically I’ve had a few of their sandwiches that are freshly made at the deli counter.
Besides the exceptionally courteous and pleasant staff, their sandwiches are just perfect if you’re looking for a quick, fresh, high quality and bang for buck place.
They have a huge selection of deli meats but also have a sizeable choice that are made in house…so I normally just let the employee at the deli counter decide what to make me, and they never disappoint. Sandwiches are just fully packed with meat and have always been delicious.
Besides this, it seems like the spot is a local favorite butcher and has a nice variety of local coffee and beer.
If you’re in the west end of Verdun, this is your next stop to grab a quick lunch for sure!

Life savior! The other butcher shops around Wellington were closed on Sundays and I came here for nicely cut bacons for brunch. This supermarket has a rustic and charming vibe. Great products and meats! The customer service at the butcher stations was outstanding. Great lads there. I felt very welcomed

Very good, helpful staff and a great selection. It can be a little expensive depending on the item, but the store is very clean and everything is very fresh. They also offer a lot of interesting speciality items. Often they have a better deal on fruits or veg than the local supermarket, you just have to be savvy with your prices.

Not really wheelchair accessible at all unfortunately, it's a bit tight for space inside. Great selection of local drinks and snacks.

My family has been going there for years. High quality products all the time! The staff is very nice it's like entering a small store in a village but in Montreal. Pricing are good but what I really like is the freshness of their products and the experience you get when you are shopping there. Will definitely keep on going there.

The best of the best from staff to products! One of the young gentlemen behind the ready-made counter makes my day every time we come in - so warm & kind, and the greatest smile. The cookies are to die for!

Staff says hi when you walk in. High quality products. The butchers are very eager to help. Their house deli meats are excellent. I wish they used less plastic wrapping (maybe wax paper for the meat that you'll eat same evening?) though it's a nitpick.

Tondreau has excellent quality meats and their marinades are great. They have lovely sauces and condiments that are not found in other grocery stores. We have been customers for at least 5 years and have always enjoyed the staff’s help and good nature as well their expertise regarding how to cook or grill different types of meats. They also have a very nice and delicious selection of fruits, vegetables, dry pastas and rice as well as cooked take out meats. We feel very fortunate to have such a high quality butcher shop that we can trust right in the heart of our neighbourhood.

Absolutely love this place. The customer service is amazing. Everyone goes out of their way to help you find what you are looking for. Been going here for years and will continue for years to come. The prices and the product is all great!!! Their ready made meals are so yummy!!! And to top it off they have so many gluten free options! Great job guys!!!!

Quality is there no doubt... A bit more expensive than other places nearby but not absurd and by all means worth it. Great selection of meat and the fruits & vegetables are fresh, unlike some other places nearby... If you're looking for brioche buns (which are surprisingly hard to find for some reason), well they have them!

Been a customer of Marche Tondreau for the past 10 years. Excellent little neighbourhood market. The meat is the best quality meat you'll find. The fruits and veggies are great! You'll find wonderful specialty items you won't find in big supermarkets. The customer service is so friendly and courteous. Their staff is always smiling and sincerely eager to help. All their products are always fresh and delicious. Good specials too. Highly recommend!!

First time going Prices are a bit up but quality is worth it, very clean, super nice staff. There so many options in seasoning, sauces and meat and veggies fruit etc. 🤤the best chicken I’ve had in a long time 1000% I will be back.
