Canadian Tire

Canadian Tire never disappoints. The store seems large but it's not the largest in Victoria. There's plenty of free parking. Located in behind Sidney at Sandown Park. They have something of everything. Friendly staff very courteous and knowledgeable and go above and beyond to help their customers. This location also has a full auto center and garden center.

My favorite department store! I never shopped at Canadian Tire until one was built in my neighborhood. They have a great gardening centre and one can find just about anything they are looking for at the store. There is tons of parking. The store is pet friendly and the staff are all wonderful - friendly and helpful. Welcoming pets is a great marketing strategy. I have never once walked out of the store without buying something, usually an impulse buy.

Best place to buy plants!!! Lower prices than anywhere else, and the selection is huge !
Today, I bought 2 inch plants for $1.99 and cactus for $3.99.
Plastic 5 inch flower pots for $4.99 !
I'm glad I shopped here first before going to the supermarkets in town for plants . Canadian Tire has the best prices and varieties !

What a great experience! New owners focusing on customer service! Definately my new favorite! Their ‘Seasonal Section” is amazing! Looking forward to spring to pick out my favorite flowers 😊

We’ve noticed after switching out our summer for winter tires (through a different company) that we had slow leaks on all 4 tires. After an unrelated unsatisfactory experience with the other company we decided to try somewhere else and booked an appointment with Canadian Tire. When I got there to drop the vehicle off I was told it would take a few hours, no problem at all because I could walk around the store) and they ended up finishing faster than I thought. When I went to the counter to find out the cause of the leaks and to pay they said it was no charge and wouldn’t take anything for their help. I was shocked as I was expecting to pay for this service but they said no and to have a great day.

The service was done quickly, the communication was easy, the waiting area had comfortable seating and we decided that after this experience we will be using Canadian Tire for vehicle servicing going forward. I didn’t get the name of the person at the counter but this happened yesterday early afternoon and they were great.

After waiting three weeks for our purchase to arrive and finding out that it had never been ordered!! I was told they would order it again and it would be another 2 weeks!! Ridiculous! I spent almost 2 and a 1/2 hours on the phone with a couple of corporate customer service people, who were of no help whatsoever.. I finally talked to the manager at Saanich Canadian tire, Candace, who I have to say, went above and beyond anyone else that I spoke with! The other customer service folks couldn't care less whether I received my item ever, but she was amazing. And actually physically went to another store and got one for me so that we could pick it up the next day! WOW!😲

I am very happy with her willingness to help us resolve this so quickly!

My faith in humanity and customer service has been restored 😀

Great place to shop for almost anything. From camping equipment to bb guns to pressure washers and pots and pans and everything gardening. If Canadian tire doesn't have it. You don't need it!

Lots if great pre-Christmas sales.
As usual the store is well presented and clean.

Amazing customer service after two Slegg's employees who couldn't be bother to look for an item I was inquiring about told me to "go to Canadian Tire". Probably the only useful advice they've given all day. The gentleman at Canadian Tire who assisted me took the time to show me several types of the item I was searching for and was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Staff was super helpful and resourceful! So appreciated! Like EVERYONE. 2 different stores. Got a GREAT deal on vehicle gifts. *customer ahead of me was pretty grumpy though. Maybe she needed a hug. Ho Ho Ho! 🎄😉🎄

The lineup for returns was slow but they were very busy and the staff was very nice.

This location usually has items that are out of stock downtown, whether on sale or not.

Since this place opened I have been impressed by the customer service. Seems everyone actually likes working there. A bonus is that they encouraged me to bring my puppy inside with me while I shopped. She got treats from the staff.

UPDATE Dec 1, 2021 - Once again someone went over and above in helping us find the right bulbs for our EV. Since all were not in stock, David at the parts desk, also checked other stores, writing down the part number and just being generally helpful.

Love the selection of sale items. Was able to get a big portion of my Christmas shopping done here. Lots of parking, tons of stock. Staff were helpful.. when I could find someone..🙂

We stopped in to buy a bbq and although we photographed the Rebel 4 we decided to purchase the Rebel 3. A very helpful staff member assisted with getting it off the shelf onto a cart, then to the till, and finally they took it outside and loaded it into our vehicle. We were super happy with the service!

Excellent store. Very clean, well-stocked, and very helpful friendly staff. I found the selection to be excellent and stylish for what I was looking for (especially the Christmas stuff - wow). I cannot wait for the garden centre to open, too. I have been to the store on a few occasions now and each time I've been impressed. Yes, being a brand new business, they are still ironing some things out, but that's understandable. It's owned by a local family so I feel good about supporting our community.

I had my coolant reservoir loosed due to the previous auto mechanic neglected to tighten up the bolt. The reservoir could break anytime and lean on the alternator and serpentine belt which creates a hazard if I did not see. The automotive technician at North Saanich store had helped me with this urgent situation. I am so grateful and going to bring my car for services at this location next time! I can not say enough of appreciation for his going beyond service. I have been a Canadian Tire customer for a long time and still frequent customer, but I will be automotive service customer for sure!
