Food Basics

This is our go-to grocery store. The staff are amazing. The guys in produce are always so friendly and helpful, the manager is generous and patient, the regular cashiers are so kind and thoughtful and even my kids love them and look forward to seeing them.
Thanks for making our grocery trips so great Nancy, Sarah, Donna and so many others whose names I should really know by now.

Was at this store Saturday Feb 25th around 230pm, I lost my wedding ring, I want to thank all the staff that helped me look for it. Later only to find out it was in one of my bags. Thank you for your wonderful service. You are the best.

This is close to home and I come here once in a while. It has its good things and bad things but what I find best is the little stop ins and money you save for things like Bread, Butter, Margarine, maybe some frozen burgers and buns for a quick dinner from the family. Not the BEST products when it comes to produce and their meat selection but when it comes to their boxed, snack items and that sort of foods they are great in price. Saves me a lot compared to the much priced Fortino’s just across the street.

One of the better food basics that I've been to. Their staff is very friendly and helpful. They're always well stocked. I find their fruits and vegetables to be relatively fresher by comparison to other stores in that area. I would highly recommend shopping there just after 3:00 or 4:00 p.m. with a start replenishing the shelves and it's not so crowded

The veggies and fruit here are better than Freshco in my experience. Also they have ground NZ lamb here for shepherds pie which is not easy to find, and their other meat is pretty decent except for the steaks which are not thick enough for me. Overall a clean store with some good stuff at good prices.

Great store, always find items cheaper & lots of produce from Ontario....don't miss the fresh peaches, nectarines & plums!!

Honestly its a grocery store but its kept clean the staff is kind and helpful and especially now during the pandemic I dont shop anywhere else because they've done a great job of making me feel safe.

While it's relatively new, the quality of produce and appearance of the store belies it's discount grocer label. Was formerly a metro. Also, right next to the liquor store puts another item in the pro column.

Glad to see about 90% of customers wearing masks. Thought more staff would be wearing masks. Store was well stocked and staff was friendly and helpful

There are all kinds of food. I found a fruit (prickly fig) that I ate 30 years ago. Both fresh and affordable. I will go again.

Good place for low income students to shop. Although, it's cheaper to get meat from Nations store.

I always come to buy fresh vegetables. You can find many local foods you are looking for here.
