Movement Global

I bought four pieces from the shop on Bowen Island, BC. I’m so thankful to Amrita for creating a private space —she put the closed sign on the door— while I was shopping and helped me in choosing the fitting colours and styles. I love her motto: buy less and have more, I think it is. I’ll definitely go back for more.

I was visiting Bowen Island and was thrilled to unexpectedly see the Movement Global store was there. A sign said to text to view the store. I did, and within ten minutes I was trying on clothes I had been drooling over online for a year. Amazing, friendly, great service, and I have some beautiful new pieces to add to my growing wardrobe of sustainable clothing.

I have been wearing Movement Global sustainable bamboo eco fashion clothing for many years now and have been buying it for my whole family. I always receive compliments on the styles I wear. Since Movement moved to on line sales and "by appointment" sales at the Bowen warehouse in late 2019 I have continued to have exceptional service from Amrita. By appointment I am still able visit the Bowen warehouse and try on the clothes. I make an appointment by emailing first after choosing my sizes first, then am able to see the colours available in the styles I choose on line. I then text or email this list to Movement. This means we both save time and have such a good time together as the styles are already prepared to try on! Thank you so much for the years of excellent service both in warehouse and on line. I live in my essential Movement pieces and always know i can find a perfect gift for my family members.

At least 90% of the shirts I wear are from Movement. I’ve worn their shirts through two pregnancies and am still rocking the original shirt I bought from them over four years ago. I have not retired any of the shirts I’ve bought from them. Amazing quality. They look great. Super soft. Don’t get stinky armpits. 10/10.

Bought a tshirt here years and years ago. Honestly I had buyers guilt because it was more than I usually pay for tshirts, but now years later, the quality has held up, its just so breathable and comfortable. Its still my favourite shirt!

I have been buying Movement Clothing since the first store opened on Bowen Island. The quality of bamboo is such that I still wear many of the original pieces from 17 years ago! This clothing is great for traveling as it layers so well. The fact that many pieces can be worn in more than one way makes it very versatile. I always take visiting friends to Amrita’s store and now they are fans as well!

Ive purchased a few items over the years here on Bowen, twice with the support of the lovely owner who takes customer service to the next level. I feel completely supported and know that every body shape is appreciated here. My two shirts have followed me through two pregnancies and the beautiful material still has the elasticity to continue on after. I just bought a few more lovely items post Partin and I cannot wait to add more in the future to make me feel great in my changing mama body.

I have bought many pieces of clothing from Movement Global over the years, but I think my new Marilyn pants are my favourites. The fabric is wonderful, and the fit is perfect. They are so comfortable!

I have owned the reversible hoodie now for 5 years and it is still in great shape, it is my favorite hoodie to wear around the house as well as going out. The material is really comfortable and stretchy and I like how warm it keeps me. I liked it so much I recently visited Bowen island and purchased another one. I feel like I get a two for one deal on these because they are reversible and have different colors so you can switch it up with only one piece of clothing.
My old one is still in great shape, i machine wash it and then I hang dry it to help keep it in great condition. I would highly recommend movement clothing to anyone looking for a good quality material that will last a long time.

I've been wearing the flow pants for years. I love them! I ordered another small pair online and believe it came from the older stock because the length was a bit longer like my originals and I love the longer length better than the newer shorter length. I am so happy the ones I got were longer as I usually don't tie them up. The service was fantastic. This is one of my favorite clothing companies around. Really high quality fabrics and craftsmanship and eco friendly!

I absolutely love the clothing from Movement Global!!! I have owned 3 tops for more than 10 years, and although are well loved, still look great. I cannot say enough good things about the feel and quality of the fabric. I own more than 15 pieces of clothing from here and trust me, they are a worth every penny that was spent purchasing them. Also, the colors are all beautiful.

I love love love the Karen Pant. They're so comfortable and the 'forest' colour is beautiful. I love the feel, the fit and how versatile they are. It's my second pair and now I just got the reversible) Hannah Skirt/dress. Movement Global makes high quality sustainable casual wear and their service is excellent. The owner helped me figure out the size of the skirt and kept a record of the size I needed for the paints from my last purchase, so my online order was made easy.and the delivery was hassle free and timely.

I cannot believe how much I love Movement Global. The softest, most breathable yet refined clothing! I have way too many clothes that could be defined as “athleisure,” and if I had to get rid of them all I’d keep my movement global attire above all else. Great for yoga, movement, and every day- I’ve gone from a workout to dinner out and felt great in my clothes. The customer service is great- Amrita is the sweetest woman and always available for help and great advice. Can’t wait for the border to open so that I can come shop in person again!

While cycling on Bowen Island this past weekend, I happened across the Movement store while the owner (Amrita) was inside. She’s typically appointment only (the store is mostly online) but she kindly let me in even though she was on her break. She was very friendly and introduced me to her brand.

This has a more boutique athleisure wear feel rather than mass manufactured. I was convinced after I tried a pair of the reversible leggings that they’re worth the price tag. Made from bamboo (antibacterial and sustainable), 4-way stretch, all color/fabric is consistent in her catalog for easy matching and flat stitching..but what made it stand out was how soft it felt AND it didn’t show any panty lines. Will be checking out the rest of the catalog
