Nayara Gardens

Me and my wife stayed here for three nights for our honeymoon and my birthday and we had an incredible experience. They brought champagne for us all three nights because we were celebrating. Our bell boy, Jack, was awesome. He was a fun person and we really enjoyed his company. He was knowledgeable about the area and gave us a tour so we were able to see a sloth and frogs!! All the staff was very friendly and extremely accommodating, at a different level. They went above and beyond on everything and made us feel special. Housekeeping comes two times a day and in the evening they’d leave a goodnight dessert ! We had a beautiful view to the volcano. We did yoga and it was great having this activity available. The only thing is the restaurant Amor Loco was a little overpriced for the food quality. We did 4 course meal for $120 per person, the portions were very small. Still, staying at this hotel was the best part of coming to Costa Rica. I would recommend stopping by here if you visit Costa Rica.

We had a fantastic tour of the hanging bridges and waterfall today with our tour guide, Andrey. He was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. We had an amazing time, learned a great deal, and experienced in-depth this beautiful rain forest’s beautiful flora and fauna in an unexpectedly enriching way. Andrey is an absolute treasure of knowledge. His appreciation for this land is infectious. Don’t miss an opportunity to learn from and experience this place with him.

Everything was fantastic for our stay at Nayara. We were celebrating my partner's birthday and the staff organised something special for us to celebrate. Staff were always so friendly, kind and thoughtful. I couldn't say enough about this place. You have access to all the nayara premises which all have beautiful views, pools and activities to choose from. The only feedback I would provide is that we were staying here for NYE and it would have been nice to have some festivities available to the guests at the resort, especially considering it covers across 3 properties. Loved my stay regardless, thank you very much to the Nayara Gardens team.

Nayara Springs exceeded our expectations. The website does not do the property justice. We stayed two nights in a Springs villa and the service was out of this world. I recommend ordering breakfast on your porch. The pools are great (sunscreen is available) and while we didn't know they had numerous hot springs on property, we sure enjoyed using them one evening.

In summary, this place is *incredible*. Pictures do NOT do it justice. Beyond that though, everyone on staff is professional, friendly, kind, and warm. It's pricey but worth it.

First time stay at a 5 🌟 resort! This place absolutely blew my mind! Everything was perfect for my anniversary. The staff was amazing anything you needed they would try and make it happen! Would highly recommend this to anyone.

My husband and I cannot speak highly enough of Nayara. It will forever be a special place for us. (As well as La Fortuna…there is SO much to explore and the people are so welcoming)

From the second you arrive, you’re greeted by the most warm and friendly staff from Nayara who genuinely seem happy that you’re there. We were greeted with some fresh squeezed juice after a long day of travel, and given some high level information of our stay before being take to our room via golf cart.

The room was incredible! It was the cleanest resort room I’ve stayed in, and the housekeeping crew do an impeccable job. They keep your fridge stocked with drinks and some little snacks which were nice after a long day of exploring the Nayara grounds and La Fortuna. You’d never know you were in a rain forest, because we really never saw a bug/spider/insect within our room.

The grounds are IMMACULATE. We took so many pictures of the various flowers and plants we were able to see which then attracted a slew of butterflies, birds, and other reptiles/amphibians. (As well as sloths and monkeys!) The staff are so excited to show you their little slice of heaven, and on more than one occasion when we said “we’re really hoping to see a (insert animal)” , they would take a detour to a spot they knew the species might be! The pools are incredible with some amazing views as well. While they have golf carts to take you anywhere and everywhere (and they’re only ever 5 min away!), we found the grounds exceptional walk. Most of it was paved, but even the I paved areas we well maintained and safe to walk at night with a flashlight. We found ourselves exploring even after 5 days!

The food was absolutely out of this world. We loved Ayla so much we ate there twice! We also enjoyed Terra Asia and Mis Amores as well. While the breakfast is included in the cost, you’d never guess it with the taste! They spare no expense freshest fruits, juices, coffee (roasted on site), and the most delicious well prepared items!

The staff are so warm, kind, friendly, professional, and helpful. They greeted us by name and were so quick to help us with anything and everything we could possibly need! (And even a few things we didn’t think of!)

We were able to do quite a few tours while we were there and we HIGHLY recommend the private Mistico hanging bridge and waterfall tour. We had Alonso as our guide and he was incredibly helpful in teaching us about the area, the various species they had, etc. He asked what we wanted to see most, and we said a toucan! Within moments of started in the tour we saw a yellow throated toucan and rainbow toucan! (We also say spider monkeys, 2 toed and 3 toed sloths, bats, tarantulas, land crabs, tons of birds, etc. We never felt rushed and felt like we really were able to take in the experience! We also did the canyoning tour through Nayara with Pure Trek and it was the thrill of a lifetime. Pure Trek felt like an extension of Nayara and we were greeted with the same warmth from the as we were from the Nayara team.

Nayara felt like a second home to us, and we were so sad to leave. We’re looking forward to returning for many more visits in the future! Thank you EVERYONE at Nayara for making this the most memorable experience for my husband and I!

Is a word -wow! You get what you pay for at this five star luxury resort. The pictures you find online do it justice. The staff and service is top notch and I would come back in a heartbeat.

The staff is phenomenal. The property is gorgeous. The hot springs are relaxing and picturesque. Plus the restaurants and spa treatments are outstanding. I used Nayara as my travel HQ and they helped me find guides to explore the north west. And on site you can see an astonishing amount of wildlife like sloths, bats, birds, and lizards. I know there are frogs and snakes around me but I'm still learning how to spot them. It's a jungle out there!

I LOVE bats and if you are excited about them too, you can watch them dart around hunting at La Terrezza Book a dinner reservation and ask to sit on the patio, in the opposite corner from the kitchen, closer to the fountain. You won't be able to see the musicians performing on the stage, but you'll have the best view of the bats. I think I saw at least 4 or 5 different species zooming around and gobbling up those pesky mosquitoes 😍

If insects like to bite you, you'll NEED bug repellent. But you don't have to pack it, they sell it in the gift shops and they give you complimentary bottles in the rooms. I have the worst time with biting insects, but that doesn't stop me. This isn't my first time to CR and I intend to return soon! Pura Vida

Birders: you must come here

I have never stayed in a hotel quite like this Nayara. If you are in Costa Rica this is worth every penny. This hotel is super close to the Volcano where the activities are endless. Hot springs on campus and private ones in the rooms (which I highly suggest). The service was also impeccable, they were so nice and accommodating. A wonderful Breakfast ordered to our room every morning and great restaurants all around.

Best part we had one of the bar tenders find a Sloth, 2 Toucans, and monkeys in the forest near one of the pools. We really wanted to site some good animals and this made our stay well above 5 stars. Would come back here 200%. Do not cheap out if you stay here, just go big or go home it is so worth it. Very expensive but we didn't blink an eye because the place was truly magical.

We can not wait to go back. In our first 8 hours at the hotel, we were already planning our return. This was the highlight of our time Costa Rica tour. We stayed in a villa in Gardens, but you have access to the entire property. The rooms and property are mind-blowing and gorgeous. Every pool and space screams luxury and beauty and is one with nature. Every single staff member was kind and went out of their way to help. We even changed our hotel in Manuel Antonio because it was recommended by a concierge. If it was half as good as Nayara, we wanted to be there. The property offered great activities for any mood and any weather condition. We took a coffee class with Ariana and she was so passionate and excited that is raised our excitement. The rooms are stunning and every detail has been thought of (mini-bar, showers, seating, laundry). Every single food/restaurant and drink we had was fantastic. There are no words to truly explain how much we enjoyed it here. We are looking into Panama and Chile as our next big trips so we can stay at other Nayara properties.

This resort is so special. The grounds are spectacular, the service is impeccable, the spa was an amazing experience. Thanks Evelyn for Nayara Specialty Treatment was hands down the best experience I've ever had at a resort. Highly recommended!

Nayara Gardens was absolutely incredible! From the first moment we got there the staff treated us like royalty. They were so kind, attentive, and welcoming and made sure our stay was perfect. We are so grateful for all they did to make our honeymoon truly amazing. They gave us an upgrade on our room and we got to enjoy an amazing private pool on our balcony with a view of the volcano and jungle. Everything about the resort is beautiful from the grounds to the restaurants to the pools, its all incredible. We got to see sloths, coati, and tons of gorgeous birds right on property. The included breakfast was so delicious and I loved having a fresh coconut water each morning!! We just can't say enough good things about our experience and are truly grateful we got to spend our honeymoon in such a wonderful place!

The rooms are spectacular! Private hot spring right off your covered deck. Yoga in the morning and then breakfast on the deck. Close to falls and hikes around Fortuna. Great food, but most of all, over the top service.

Beautiful resort, amazing staff, great food on site and many activities (yoga, nature walks) included in the in package. Truly a 5 star experience.

Nayara is the most incredible hotel we have ever experienced. From the very first minute you arrive the staff makes you feel so welcomed, while also providing the most impeccable service. Everyone goes above and beyond to share the Pura Vida lifestyle and help you enjoy your stay. We could not speak more highly about each of the employees who shared their love for nature, Costa Rica, and of course, Nayara. From the beautiful and expansive grounds, to the incredible accommodations, amazing food, wildlife experiences, and ALL of the attention to detail - there is no need to look at any other hotels than Nayara. Speaking of the details; fresh coconut water every morning, daily yoga classes, golf cart service practically on demand, nature walk with incredible wildlife spotting, welcome drinks, umbrellas anywhere you could expect for the sudden rain, incredible turn down service surprises, and more! We raved about our stay the entire time and even when we went on to our next hotel! We will definitely be returning to a Nayara property again and could not recommend it enough.

Perfecto! Would give 6 stars if I could. We’ve been traveling the entire pacific coast of Costa Rica for 10 days and Nayara Gardens has been the highlight of our entire trip!

The customer service is the best we’ve ever experienced. The attention to detail lacks nothing. The accommodations are private and so comfortable. The hot springs and pools we had entirely to ourselves (but we also visited during rainy/low season so I wouldn’t expect the same if you visit during high season). There is absolutely nothing we would have changed about our stay here.

We were greeted by the staff with a cold beverage and hand towels. A golf cart took us to our room where our luggage was waiting for us. There was a beautiful hand written note welcoming us to the hotel. We’ve never stayed somewhere quite this special. They truly thought of every little detail!

We went to visit the hot springs around 7 pm and we found each hot spring and pool there were towels, bug spray, and sun screen just in case you forgot yours at your room. When we returned to our room housekeeping was cleaning our room without us even having to ask! They provided slippers and a little good night snack. We ordered room service for dinner, when we called the front desk they greeted us by name! You just cannot beat their level of customer service and attention to detail 11/10!

In the morning they had a complimentary yoga class at 8:15 am which was beautiful surrounded by nature and the sounds of the jungle! Even though it’s complimentary, make sure you tip your instructor and housekeeping for their hard work.

Sad we only stayed for one night, we will definitely be returning to this jungle paradise! Thank you to the entire Naraya staff for being the highlight of our Costa Rican trip!

My husband and I spent a few nights at the Nayara Gardens for our honeymoon and every moment of our stay was absolute PERFECTION! The staff, the nature, the rooms, the restaurants - just incredible. It is without a doubt the best hotel either of us has stayed at anywhere in the world we have visited. Highly highly recommend.

Almost flawless stay, a stretch to find anything negative, other than we had to leave....world class service and accommodations.
