The Open Kitchen - La Fortuna

Great restaurant. The food was fresh and tasted great. Would definitely go again. We got the chicken souvlaki, Moroccan Fish, and fish and chips. The fries were a good side with the meals.

This place was AMAZING!! The food is simply to die for. It's not local Costa Rican cuisine by any means, but it really holds up. Everything we got was delicious. The pastry was so flaky, drinks were perfectly blended, and dips and sauces all elevated the experience. You really can't go wrong with anything on the menu, but I ordered the Turkish Burek and it was just divine. Highly recommend!

Had a really delicious meal here one of our first nights in town. It was good local food right in the heart of la fortuna. No problem parking. Definitely worth a stop for a nice meal and great service. 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area

My husband and I both got the french toast and asked for a side of Nutella. The french toast was AMAZING and when we added the Nutella and some bananas on top, it was a game changer! The service was great and everything was delicious!

This place is amazing! Service was 10/10 and the egg salad bagel was delicious. My group of 6 had to come a second time before leaving La Fortuna. Perfect place for breakfast!

This is a very nice restaurant. The staff were excellent and the premises were very clean. They have a modified Mediterranean menu. I feel
they did a great job of substituting items they couldn't make/get in Costa Rica. My falafel plate was wonderful, the Bereka Turki (puff pastry with spinach and cheeses) was costa rican inspired but was also excellent

Highly recommend this place for breakfast, was so good we went twice! Big menu with lots to choose from and such a friendly staff!

So fresh! Beautifully seasoned. Perfectly prepared. Quality ingredients. Excellent service. Our large party tried a variety of dishes and everything was universally delicious. This is our last day in Costa Rica before we depart tomorrow. We have tried a lot of marginal restaurants during our wonderful stay here in this amazing country and we wish that we had discovered this restaurant on the first day. When we sat down, the people at the table next to us told us that our meal was going to be amazing! They were right. Personally I loved the hummus topped with chicken shawarma. I also had some of the chili con carne, and I don’t even normally eat red meat, but it was divine! And, embarrassingly… We couldn’t help ourselves, and we ordered dessert! Please see photo. It definitely tested as good as it looks.

Wow i had the açai bowl and a macchiato and god! It was divine. My best coffee in costa rica so far. A less local experience, but very healthy and beautiful restaurant.

We loved Open Kitchen! We ate here twice while on vacation. If you get anything, you HAVE to get the patacones. They were the main reason we came back - delicious!!!

The food here was so good we dined in twice. It was a nice change from typical Costa Rican food and they offer a delicious and unique spin on Mediterranean food. The location was nice and quiet, away from the main restaurants/bars but still very easy to get to. The staff was very friendly as well.

Great place for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Went twice. The food is a little pricey but the quality is amazing! So worth it! The drinks are tasty and all the food is quite healthy too! Would recommend the falafel and the shakshuka.

I’ve been here twice now and both the green goddess bowl and Acai bowl were amazing. I also had the iced latte and it was very good. They put in a coffee ice cube so it doesn’t get watered down as the ice melts. The service and atmosphere are very good as well.

I enjoyed a delicious breakfast at Open Kitchen. They have a nice big terrace with great views of the volcano and offer a variety of nutritious, healthy and clean dishes for breakfast, lunch and dinner.

☕Coffee: Cappuccino was delicious. The coffee was flavorful and not too strong and the soy milk was naturally sweet and foamy.

🪪Payment: by card without fee.

🏡Vibe: relaxed vibe, mostly travelers, soft music was played in background

💁‍♀Service: Very attentive service. I got a whole bottle of water for free and the additional peanut butter I had asked for was complimentary as well.

I very much enjoyed the atmosphere and will for sure come back next time I'm in la fortuna.

I stayed at the hotel that this restaurant is connected to, and I had all my meals here. The food is great. I got the falafels, french toadt and eggs and then a chicken sandwhich with the best bread I've had in years! . the staff was friendly and accommodating.

Excellent in every location 👌🏽 Food selection is diverse and always fresh, service is friendly. Good for travelers and locals alike

Super happy to a found an excellent vegan burger in La Fortuna. The fries have garlic and parsley, so yummy! The service was very good. Carlos,my waiter was polite and attentive. Everyone in the restaurant was professional. Impressed with the clean environment that is comfortable and relaxing. I'm very happy to a found another vegan option.
