Cocoloba Café-Restaurante

Great place for dinner, a little higher cost, but the evening atmosphere with tables right on the beach and live music were great. The ceviche and mussels were good.

The food was good. Prices are good for the restaurant right by the sea. We had two meals, pancake, omelette with rice, we can recommend both.

We had a beautiful bowl of veggies and eggs for breakfast. One of the best breakfasts we had in this part of Costa Rica! Highly recommended

This is a cute breakfast/ Lunch cafe in front of the ocean. They have great natural juices too. It is a very calming space.

I love Cocoloba for breakfast. They open at 7am the food is great, and the atmosphere is even better! The two women that own this place are very friendly and attentive. They play nice peaceful music while you gaze into the ocean and watch hummingbirds feeding on the plants out front. It doesn't get much better.

Best traditional food, in the most beautiful Manzanillo setting, with the friendliest service. This restaurant is run with love. Pura vida!

My boyfriend and I stayed near the area for about 3 months and went at least twice a week. We love the owners and their employees and they always made us feel like family when we’d come. The food was excellent and the fish tacos were our absolute favorite! Can’t find better Ceviche either ;) Looking forward to return this October!

I had the vegetarian Caribbean plate and a mango smoothie - both delicious! And you can sit and look at the beach.. what's not to love?!

A nice little place in view of the beach. The orange juice is sweet, the smoothies are smooth, and the pinto gallo is the best in the city!

The owners are fantastic! Personal service with delicious unique recipes and delicious food. The setting outside right on the Caribbean Sea makes it perfect 👌🏻 can’t wait to come back!

We stopped here for a coffee one morning as it seemed to be the only option.
We were served delicious Americanos for a good price so we decided to ask if they had rooms available.
Thankfully they did and at a quarter of what we paid the night before in Punta Uva PLUS closer to the beach!
This place is a hidden gem for sure. They had a room with a queen bed and a single mattress to accommodate my wife, daughter and I complete with a fridge, shower, sink, balcony and high powered fan so we were comfortable at night even without AC.
It's situated directly across the road from a great swimming beach and they serve great food and great coffee. We highly recommend this spot!

Amazing smoothies, and they have IPA and other "craft" style beers!! Hard to find in this area. The food was absolutely delicious and large portions so the price was very reasonable. Staff were friendly and chatted with us about our trip and gave us some ideas for other places to visit while we were in the area.

Nice and cosy place with great breakfast and juices near Playa Manzanillo. Unique take on food and really nice herbal sauce. The owners were very accommodating as we were vegetarian. They let us park our bikes at their place while we were in the local area. Highly recommend!

During the time staying in Manzanillo, I can honestly say this is by far the best restaurant in town with very friendly employees. While eating there I ordered some smoothies and they tasted amazing! At one point he even went out of his way and went straight to a store to get more vodka for us which I very much appreciated! Overall great experience, good prices and I recommend it everyone in town

This place is great! My wife and I spent a couple months in the area. On our day off we always went to Cocolobas. Not only is the food always wonderful. But they are the only joint in Manzanillo that offers craft beer. Cocolobas has, in our opinion, the best caribbean chicken in the entire Manzanillo/Puerto Viejo area. They also offer the best sauces I had there. Their chilera is amazing. Very inexpensive. I could sit there and watch the beach all day for the rest of my life. Highly recommend!
