Texas Riverranch

As a family of five adults ‘needing’ all we could eat ribs, we booked through the online system but found it slow in confirming our request and it gave the wrong impression that the restaurant was busy at our requested time causing us to make alternative standby plans.

On arrival the place was pretty much empty and slower than usual due to new rules requiring Covid certification.

We were greeted warmly and shown to our table. Shield screens hung unobtrusively between tables but were hardly noticeable.

Service was quick and efficient (too quick on drinks as menus had yet to be given!) Sophie, please pass on our thanks to those responsible.
Ribs we’re served on cold plates (not good) with optional coleslaw, bean salad, Mayo and own, very tasty, BBQ sauce. Ribs were excellent flavour but tended to be cool and dry from the top of the tray. One of us thoroughly enjoyed a huge veggie/vegan burger with fries. Overall a great deal and very enjoyable, to be repeated, experience.

As an American, eating here was a nice way to eat some nostalgic food. Reminded me of some common restaurant foods. However - please don't think we eat this stuff all the time. It is like assuming Germans eat pork knuckle all the time.

Onion rings were spot on, ribs were very good, and the jalapeno poppers were great. I definitely recommend stopping over and enjoying some American food.

As an American traveling in this region for work, this place is not quite the same as a steakhouse in America. I've had a steak there a couple different times and each was done perfectly. I also enjoy the bean salad that comes with your meal. Bratkartoffelen here are great, with large pieces of speck. Be aware the portions are huge! If you have a large group you can make a reservation.

An outstanding restaurant. Full of charm and fantastic food. I actually felt like I was in a Texas restaurant. Well done! The service was very good and its definitely a value for money place. You must make a reservation though. I was dining alone and didn't make a reservation but I was comfortably accommodated at the bar for pre dinner drinks, whilst waiting for a table. Overall a superb evening and fantastic food. Enjoy!!

I come from America and it's the best American food I have had around the area. Great American style service and hospitality. It's a must if your seeking American style food. My wife and I will be eating there again very soon. Thank you again for the good remembrances of what I call home.
