Erlebnis-Zoo Hannover

Great place to visit. You have to plan such as you have a whole day to spend in the zoo. You can see a variety of animals and birds from across the globe. Good place to visit with family and kids. It is pet friendly. There are cafes, children's play areas, gift shops and toilets inside the zoo. There is boating through a water canal and it was a nice experience. The seal show was also good. Over all it was a great day

Just an amazing zoo, the best one I’ve ever been! I have spent 5 hours there and still didn’t see everything, you must plan a whole day for it. The highlight of it is lion’s family with 3 cubs (born 20.02.2023). They were so cute playing with each other, their mom and even serious father. I just could not leave the spot watching them for half an hour. Unfortunately the glass you are watching through is scratched and opposite sun made it even worse to look and make pictures, but they were so close, just few meters away. Amazing experience! I liked thematically made zones, never seen something like that in other zoo’s. They have feeding hours for animals so you could watch and they tell you some facts about animals but unfortunately only in German. All signs and information are in German too. People say the price 27 euro is expensive but I think it’s totally worth it and you can actually have much cheaper price (15 euro) if you book few weeks in advance through internet. Must see in Hannover!

Recommend buying tickets a week or two in advance to pay half the price!
Zoo was amazing the animals seemed very happy and lively. You could even step into the inclosure with some animals.
The seal show was really worth the watch.
Spent a really long time here a whole day affair.
Not many restaurants open during the winter season so bring food!
Boat ride was a really addition
The online map isn't great and signposting could be updated but it was the best zoo I have ever been to.

Very nice zoo with good parking possibility, restaurants and play grounds for children are available. The boat ride is amazing and in weekends, it may have around 15 minutes waiting time, which not that much, but worth to do it. For someone leaving around hannover, buying the annual ticket is better than the day ticket.

Very Interesting zoo. Big. Giraffes, Leon's, hippo, elephant's, ice Bear and many others animals. Interesting show with seeleon. Highly recommended. Parking 8 euro per day.

Wonderful experience! We went on a Tuesday morning when it was not very crowded. There were groups of school children with their clipboards, studying different animals- that was pretty cool.
But, the zoo has a varied collection of animals, with some bot very common to zoos. They also had a petting area with cows and goats and sheep.
The Polar Bears are a beauty to watch.

Great place for families. They made a great effort to make it more like a theme park. Loved the Yukon part!!!

Beautiful theme based zoo. The Yukon bay show was very entertaining. However try to reach the Yukon stadium half an hour prior to the start of the show in order to get a good seat. The boat ride is included in the ticket so don’t miss it. Food is also good and the playground at the end is really great. We bought the yearly ticket just for that.

Very big , and beautiful I recommend going early so you have time to see everything. Big parking , ticket is a little bit expensive but it is worth it . You can see a lot of animals , there are parks for kids . Inside you can drink,eat,rest(ofc you pay for this too) everything you need you have inside .

It was really great!!! Better comes in the morning, at the workweek. A big territory, surely you need 6 hours to see everything and have a little relax)

This is a lovely zoo, an excellent day out. The animal feedings are all organised to follow your walk around, which is great.

Really well laid out zoo. Easy to get to also on the tram from central Hannover.
We went on a very cold day and unfortunately a lot of the animals were nowhere to be seen but we still saw tigers, chimps and polar bears.
The bonus of the weather though was that it was very quiet inside the zoo and that was on a Saturday!
Get tickets online well in advance and you can save a few Euro.

Please come early! Take the boat 🛶 tour & make sure to watch the seals 🦭 show! 5 hours is the least time to enjoy this place ✨❤! Theres bathrooms all around and kids play areas all around and a lot cafes and restaurants too inside the venue itself! And there is themed areas with their local kind of animals!! I loved seeing the happy elephants 🐘❤❤❤🦅🐮🐯🦊

This is a beautiful zoo! One of the best zoos I have seen so far. My favorite part of the zoo was the farm area. There is a huge jungle gym at the end of the zoo. My son had so much. I was able to spend the day here with my family and I can't wait to go back next time we are in town.

An amazing place to spend a whole day. Decent space for each of the animals and a vast variety. The seals show was beautiful with a bald eagle show in the beginning.
During our visit (in July), there were a lot of animals with cubs. The lion triplet cubs were the highlight!!

Had an excellent time at Hannover zoo - we booked a rendezvous with the sealions and met Lotta, who was just fantastic!

Included in the rendezvous was a private guided tour of the grounds that was very informative.

The zoo was basically empty and many of animals were not viewable to the public due to the season but it was a great day overall!

We'll be back to rendezvous with the elephants in late April!

One of the top must-see places in Hannover, especially for families with kids-my daughter was crazy about all the hidden fun facts about animals and many playgrounds around the zoo. Honestly, never been in a better place where I could show my daughter so many animals from all over the world. Seals show stole our hearts 💕 really worthy place to visit. The only thing I was missing were the informations written in English, but it was a tiny obstacle.

The Christmas lights were gorgeous 😍

A great zoo for your family. A must-visit in the area and I do recommend spending a whole day so you can walk through it by the visiting hours.
