River Café

The River Cafe was an absolute pleasure to eat at whilst traveling through the area. We went on a Saturday but they still made space for us although reservations were a potential Barrier.
Food was delicious. Reasonably priced. Service was outstanding. Atmosphere was relaxed and beautiful.
Outdoor seating available.

I happily sat at a table by the road watching everything that was happening around. Delicious cocktail based on prosecco -
Don Giacomo, Italian country ham with baguette and butter, followed by almond milk cappuccino and dessert. Friendly staff. I'd love to come back here.❤

Perfect setting for at the base of the Philosopher's Walk. The service was friendly and the food was delicious! I highly recommend the Ox! Cooked to perfection!

Very attentive service. Not noisy. Great variety of fine prepared and perfectly cooked Bistro food. Very reasonable prices wine by the glass. Highly recommend for a casual dinner on the other side of Heidelberg

Great bar, perfect for watching the world go by while having a drink and food with friends. The views are lovely from here also, friendly staff who speak good English and are very friendly.

Had a nice breakfast here. Went for the scrambled eggs with bacon. Paid the extra to have it on a croissant... was ok with the cost. Coffee (espresso) was strong which I like. No complaints. The staff were friendly so that’s all you need. Got to sit in the sun out front and enjoy watching the world go by. Would go again.
They also except credit cards which is helpful.

The River Café is an excellent restaurant and location for groups to meet. Their staff is friendly and very helpful. They do that little extra that makes you feel special and appreciated as their guest. The food is very tasty and I absolutely love their collection of fine wines. I can highly recommend a glass of Incognito by Philipp Kuhn. If you haven't been here yet, then you are truly missing out on an experience to remember. Many thanks to the team for making my event memorable!

A bit expensive but totally delicious

Meat, potatos and mushrooms were totally perfect. Our waitress spoke English and helped us with all the questions (I couldn't eat sugar, so they removed all of it where I asked). Also she asked about our preferences.

Beautiful location, good coffee, delicious food

We were just the last to be left inside, good luck. Had to sit at the bar still. Very nice. Great food. This is not the cheapest place, but they serve a lot of real great food. Definitely a must. Phantastic staff.

Best croissants in town. This is my favorite place to go for breakfast or a nice brunch with my partner. Sit outside or inside. The coffee is also good by german standards. Great location in Neuenheim as well, as you can follow-up your brunch with a nice walk down by the river. Food is also good, but if you get the meat and cheese, just don't expect it to be up to French or Italian standards though. The exception is the croissant.

Tasty desserts and coffee.

Excellent. A very relaxing place to unwind with friends and family. Good customer service, courteous at reasonable prices. A place to be recommended, in good spring weather sitting outside or inside with inclement weather. The area is also dotted with other nice cafes worth visiting.

Great food and atmosphere! The personnel was so kind & helpful. Just outside the touristic centre oh Heidelberg, it was the best dinner we had during our staying.
