L'Escabeau d'Omnino

I love when a café is tucked in a quiet alley away from the bustle. A classic European cafe with a bench to enjoy your coffee, slow down, and soak the sun for a moment... The cups are beautiful just as everyone says, I felt like a king drinking my espresso from a cup with a gold rim. The coffee was delicious and balanced, flat white was well prepared. An excellent coffee shop!

A carefully and meticulously crafted coffee experience is the easiest way to describe my experience at L'Escabeau d'Omnino. The cafe provides a hospitable experience with a small yet well selected choice of beans for hand brew or batch brew (both of which I tried and was delighted by). The staff is knowledgeable, approachable and takes good care of you (they speak both English and French fluently).

The cafe allows you to enjoy modern and hip filter coffee brewing techniques in a traditional French cozy city, which is a mix I haven't encountered much.

A definite must if you're in Strasbourg, however do mind that the establishment doesn't provide much seating besides a table outside and an espresso style bar inside, however I'd say that's part of the charm.

So hurry and get that seat to treat yourself and your loved ones to a warm flavorful cup of coffee:)

Lovely café hidden in an alley. The espresso is delicious, the cups are ethereal, and the atmosphere is inviting and cozy! One can only drink from the cups when at the bar due to recent city rules, but chatting with the other coffee lovers makes it worth it. I'll definitely be back again!

P.s. initially I visited thanks to the response of the café to a one star review. I love places where people stand up for themselves and what they created. The customer is not king- it's about symbiosis and respecting each other. This small café deserves respect.

Hidden gem!! Good espresso and very good Canelé. The rum Canelé was the best 👌🏾.

A proper specialty coffee place, light roasted beans, v60’s and actual flat whites. Very friendly service, even to uncultured and non-French speaking English tourists! Thank-you

A hidden gem - excellent specialty coffee! There is a small standing bar inside, or if it's a nice day there are a few tables outside to enjoy your coffee on the relatively quiet street.

Very cozy and soft Flat white, light Cappuccino, delicious Expresso Macchiato: wide range of coffees and teas with a good service. We were explained the differences between the coffees in a very kind way:) Only downside: there’s little space to sit… But we could gather some stools to sit outside.

Had a quick but blissful coffee fix here yesterday. The coffee is really good, homemade cookies are delicious, table basking in the sun just outside of cafe is enjoyable more than words can say. Looking forward tasting the beans I've purchased from them.

Beautiful little cafe with exceptional beverages, prepared by friendly staff on high end equipment (GS3). High quality roasted beans and other things can be purchased as well.
No decaf, no toilet, only a few places to sit. Definitely worth visiting. Have been there multiple times. :)

You are looking for good coffee in Strasbourg? Look no further! Cheaper than Starbucks and way better. We enjoyed a perfectly crafted Cappuccino and a hot chocolate made with organic chocolate. Way to go! Btw....you should be able to pay by card if the machine works.

The coffee was so good I had three in one day, only negative was the fact I discovered this place on my last day in Strasbourg… Coffee was smooth, fresh and consistently great each time. Really friendly service by someone who is clearly passionate about great coffee and service. Highly recommend

My friend and I had a great time drinking coffee here! We learned so much about the process and this microbrewery in such a short span of time. The coffee was great and we had a lovely conversation with the barista that made the place and experience feel extra special. Will definitely come back here when I visit Strasbourg again!

Tried the batch brew (“filter”) today which was a single origin from Ethiopia and a Christmas spice canelé. Both were amazing and staff are friendly as well!

My wife and I recently visited L'Escabeau d'Omnino in Strasbourg for a morning coffee, and we were blown away! The coffee was rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced, we also ordered a croissant and a pain au chocolat, both of which were delicious. we highly recommend L'Escabeau d'Omnino to anyone looking for a great cup of coffee and a cozy atmosphere in Strasbourg. We will definitely be back the next time we're in town.
