Café Lebenslust

Super café that stays true to its name. Each dish contains such an elemental touch of art, that makes it almost painful to start eating it - but after the first bite, you’re locked in. At Cafe Lebenlust - the dishes truly taste wonderful. I cannot recommend dining here enough. Great scenery, cozy outdoor seating in the garden area, tasty food, all with friendly service.

Absolutely beautiful cafe in a perfect courtyard. The food was amazing, we could have tried everything! The staff were really friendly too, highly recommend!

Had an amazing wholesome breakfast at Lebenslust.
Food: We ordered a) Resi's spinach stulle - whole grain slices with hummus, feta, chutney, spinach, fried cherry tomatoes and eggs complimented each other so well.
b) Stramme Resi - Bacon, whole grain slices, sliced red onions, fried cherry tomatoes, cream cheese were delectable
c) waffles - my daughter enjoyed her waffles
d) Coffee and hot chocolate were good too.
Ambience - Lively atmosphere with good interiors

Great coffee with vegan options (oat milk), fruit cups, oat meal, and many vegan cakes. The cafe is super cozy and the atmosphere very relaxed. Our waiter was very kind, energetic, and hilarious. He joked around with us and provided superb service, loved his energy! Prices are reasonable for such a touristy area, I think this is the best cafe in Rothenburg!

Really nice smoothy and ginger tea. Great atmosphere. Surprisingly no -touristy despite being quite well known and being in rothenburg o.d. Tauber. Came here for refuge on a cold winter evening right around Xmas time and still found a seat.

A small quaint local breakfast cafe that also serves great cakes 🎂 and wines as well. We had our breakfast here and it was excellent 👌. If you're looking for a quiet place to chill and have a small snack or wine this is the place. Friendly staff and quality food and beautiful location. What else do you need.

Super cute cafe with lots of drink options. We didn’t order food so I can’t speak on the selection. Our waiter was friendly and easy to communicate with. The prices were fair. We ordered dirty chai which were delicious. The bathroom was clean and stocked with feminine products in the women’s bathroom. Very interesting decor and comfortable seating. Perfect for getting out of the rain and enjoying a nice drink.

We were in this Café during our visit in Rothenburg. We came in hungry and we left happy and filled. Absolutely repectful and friendly people, we really felt good. No pushing to order more, just a respectful asking if we like some more. And the breakfest? Damn that was really good. We had a cheesy breakfast and some pancakes with cherrys, blueberrys and vanilla icecream. Just look at the pictures, it tasted how it looks, just awsome. Prices were normal for a destination like Rothenburg and for nice quality like this, nothing to argue. If we ever come back, this will be the first destination for sure.

Really cute garden cafe outside! It's a bit hidden and away from the touristy area so it offers a nice respite from the crowds. I got a Apfelstrudel which came warmed and a side of creme. Delicious! The exterior is very nicely decorated and feels a bit mediterranean. Nice European vibes!

Excellent place. It was hot when we visited and enjoyed the cool, breezy indoors and iced drinks (like coffee with ice cream!).

The waffles were fantastic and everything was made with attention to presentation.

Best chai latte I have had. The sandwich portion was bigger than I was expecting, delicious, and a pleasure to look at as well. Service was friendly and welcoming. I'd definitely go back.

Charming little cafè! Food was delicious, service was wonderful and atmosphere was lovely!

Very nice spritzers, we tried all 3 special sprizers (maracuja, lavandel and hibiscus-rose) and all 3 were very tasty and nice. Highly recommend just for spritzers.

Ever Had Omelette with a small side of balsamic vinegar and red berries (not like strawberries but these red pepper berry thingies)? If not try it, what an amazing combo 😍

Amazing for when you need to get rid of the mold taste in your mouth from a certain bakery nearby.

Was there for breakfast and ordered an “EASY” omelette with the “green power” smoothie. The waiter was lovely and understanding. The outdoor seating was full when we arrived but the waiter kept an eye out for us and let us know that we can move when there was a free table outside. The food and the drinks taste delicious and the presentation looks very pretty.

This cafe is phenomenal!!! The food is light, refreshing, and delicious. Plus they have a good selection of beer and spirits! The service is wonderful, the patio great, and the local sleepy boy... Charlie I believe.... Is a pup you can't help but love!!! A must stop place.

We visited Cafe Lebenslust during our first morning in Rothenburg due to their proximity to our hotel, the vegan meal options and the pictures of the facility.

Service was super friendly and fast. The food was delicious! I chose the Spirit Bowl, an Oat Milk Latte and my wife had the Resi's Peace Schnitte and black coffee. The coffee was of great quality, full flavor, but not over-roasted. The Oatmeal Bowl and my wife's sandwich were professionally prepared and the presentation of the food was very pleasant to the eye. Both tasted as good as they looked.

We would have gone back on our second day, but unfortunately, the cafe does not open until 1:00 PM on Sundays.

Overall, a great experience with the staff, excellent food and beverages and the courtyard was a very pleasant and comfortable space!
