Town Hall

A beautifully preserved medieval town. You can even walk the old wall. I highly recommend staying the night. Much quieter at night after most of the tourists are gone.

It is a charming medieval city . It is part of the romantic route. The buildings are well preserved.

Beautiful area, very tourist-y. Lots of great sights nearby. Definitely watch for cars, roads are somewhat narrow. Path is nice smooth stones but there are gaps, so don't trip! Would definitely recommend taking a special trip to visit here.

The city hall of the old medieval city of Rothenburg od Tauber is most visited town and most photographed in Bavaria. The city hall building is so impressive with its old tower. Beautifully decorated with lovely summer flowers! Many half- timbered houses in the area. Lots of shops and cafes, there are many Asian tourists here, e.g, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Filipinos. The Rathaus draws a lot of attention because of its impressive architectural design! There’s enough parking outside the old-walled medieval city. Really lovely visit anytime of the year, especially at Christmas time, this city has the most attractive Christmas Market!

This is the heart of this historic town. The clock tower is a must see as it goes about its task of ringing in the hour with automation. On the square there are often events of music or other activities. Take the night watchman tour that leaves here at dusk.

What an amazing building set amongst beautiful buildings all around. Recommend the Greek restaurant to the right.

A wonderful place to visit, particularly the town hall. Our visit was not very pleasant because of rain. The restaurants at the main sqare were pricy but good according to our and our group member's experience.

Very steep and narrow stairway to a gorgeous city view

One of the most crowded places in the old town. The viewing platform is accessed via the town hall and around 360 steps. Once in the tower itself the steps are quite narrow which would make it difficult with a crowd. Well worth the effort but much easier to appreciate when there is no crowd.

Lovely area. We visited just before Christmas. Great shopping, architecture, pleasant area. Would return any time. So much more to see.

Such a fun place to visit! The night watchman tour is a must! Do it in the wintertime for a realistic feel of being a night watchman in the cold of winter.

It is lovely the entire city has this magique of christmas.
