Parque El Ejido

Traditional park that has been one of the main gathering places that every person visiting Ecuador has to see.
It offers a wide variety of activities, and enough green spaces to even have a cozy picnic or a family outing, a park that has outdoor sport facilities, public toilette's and performance stages conveniently situated.
There is ALWAYS something to see there, from many vendor stalls to the weekend artists that gather to sell and, or perform their art way of living

Parque El Ejido is one of the first parks in the city. You can find exquisite souvenirs and art in metal and canvas.

You can also enjoy a traditional game of volley ball, it is played with only 3 players per team. A must watch, and if you are brave enough enjoy the delicious local cuisine. Very affordable pieces. Share your apreciation with a tip.

Easily reached by the Metro on the west side and the Ecovia on the East side come an enjoy a walk in the Parque El Ejido and experience the real local culture.

It's a great place to walk and do exercise. If you love biking there you'll find peers to ride with.

Everyone says this park is dangerous, but that could not feel farther from the truth.

Over the course of a month my wife and I spent almost every day in this park, and aside from conversations with old men and little children, and other friendly locals, all the threatening people let us be :)

Lindo

Cool place to spend quality time with others. People often play chess and card games. Besides, it has a huge green area.
Loved it.

Well kept garden, a lot of shades areas, washroom and kids play ground.

When the sun is out it is a great place to chill. Often has dancing and folklore shows as well as artist fair on weekends.

This is a great park in Quito. Plenty of green space and some good nearby food options. Easy access to trolleys for traveling to and from the park. We usually go here to buy gifts and crafts from locals on the north side of the park. There is a cheaper market about 5 minutes north from the park at the artisan market where you can find the same items.

I love it! It's been remodeled and still it holds a variety of the most giant and ancient trees of the city. Family-friendly and perfect for walks.

Loved this market. So many very unique items from local vendors. Not super packed either.

A very nice park. One of many in Quito. A great place to ride a bike, take a walk, anything.

A place for the family. But also there're a lot of people with different interests. So you need to be aware. It's near Casa de la Cultura. It's surrounded for pretty much every important public transportation line.
