Hostal Galapagos by Bar de Beto

I was lucky enough to have a super spacious room behind the bar, which were surprisingly quiet, given the close proximity of the bars with extremely loud music into the early hours of the morning. Friendly staff and a cute little bar to lounge in and watch the sunset from. Reasonable pricing but no option to pay by card. As a solo traveller, bargain for the largest bed ever for a small person… Winning!

Very well maintained and clean accommodation. Shared kitchen is clean and well equipped. Staff is exceptionally friendly and attentive. Nothing negative to add, excellent for the given price range.
Location is bit further from the port though very close to the national park, next to the beach and 5 minutes walk from the town center.
Great value for money.

I loved the bar and the vibes, bed was a bit chunky, aircon works. The place is totally recommended in case you would like to have a authentic experience in the pirate life of Isabela

Super nice and small hostel with small kitchen and roof top terrace. Very clean and perhaps important to say, but the bar is on the other side of the street, so overall also very quiet.

We stayed here for 3 night and had a great experience. Fiorella the hostess is wonderfull and very helpful. The bar owned by the same family is right on the beach 50m away and has a chill vibe in the afternoon and even has live music. Would recommend.

Hostal Galapagos is my preferred place to stay at when I visit Isabela! The rooms are very nice, clean, and affordable. Besides your room, you get access to a communal kitchen, rooftop with a view, and Bar de Beto across the street. I also appreciate their efforts to be environmentally friendly. I would definitely recommend!

Great location , very friendly staff. The room I stayed in had a very comfy bed hammock. The whole place was very clean and the owners were happy to help with any queries you had

I certainly love my stay here and would easily choose to come back the next time I'm in Isabela. The room was clean, spacious, equipped with A/C, and had the best shower I've had in Ecuador so far, considering most of the places I stayed before this didn't have hot or strong enough showers. I also loved the location. It was super close to the beach, very close to the main plaza but not right in the center, which was good to me so that I could be far away from the noises at night and could easily fall asleep with the nice, relaxing sound of ocean waves. The hosts were very quick to respond to my needs as well. I can't really think of any cons of staying here. Highly recommend!

We absolutely LOVED our stay at Hostal Galapagos. The family who runs this place is so kind, helpful and just all around amazing. They answered all of our questions and helped us with anything we needed. The room was nice and simple, perfect for a stay on Isabela. The bar is conveniently across the street and great place to hang out and go to the beach. We really enjoyed the breakfast offered here and would recommend that to others staying. Cannot recommend this place enough if you’re looking for a place to base your Isabela adventures from!

I loved this place! It was my best stay in Galapagos and I didn’t want to leave. The room was very big, clean and had an amazing view over the beach. The people were really nice. The boy from the hotel came to pick me up to walk me to the hotel and told me about the Island, the place and all recommendations. He also helped with booking tours that were also really good, very helpfull all the days. The only thing was that because of Covid rules the bar was closed when I was there. When open the place will be even nicer. I would definitely come back one day and recommend the place to everyone! Isabela Island is really my favorite, I was supposed to stay 3 nights but made it 4 and wished to could have stayed longer. 10/10

Hostal Galapagos is an amazing place to stay on Isabela. The location is a one minute walk to the beach, the rooms are spacious and clean with hot water and the staff are incredible and always there to help. In general, wifi everywhere on Isabela isn't great and I found Hostal Galapagos wifi sufficient for looking up what I needed during my stay. You also have access to a full kitchen with filtered water if you want to cook during your stay. Hostal Galapagos is also owned by an Ecuadorian family while so many places in the Galapagos Islands are not owned by Ecuadorians so it's great to support local people. I would definitely come back!

I highly recommended to stay here while in Isabela. It is a family run hostal. The daughter Fiorella is extremely helpful. They even pick me up from the jetty. Fiorella takes time to answer any questions that I have. The room #3 sound-proof can be improved but it was a big deal since I’m a heavy sleeper. I love hanging out on the hammock facing ocean.

Amazing place to stay! Family owned and they treat you very well. Would highly recommend staying here when you come to Isabela, which is a must see when in the Galapagos.
