Well worth the 4 mile walk. One can take a bike, however the walk is better. Mainly as one can then see all the animals along the track.

Take plenty of water with you.

The walk is interesting, the hike and mirador behind it is even nicer. A few stopping points to rest in the shade. Highly recommend hiring a bike to cycle there, there are many stops along the way including secret beach locations, ponds and miradors

I’d recommend walking rather than riding a bicycle. Be sure to have on plenty of sunscreen and bug repellent. There are so many different paths to follow, some less traveled than others, with incredible beauty. The story behind the Wall of Tears” is heartbreaking.

Beautiful place with a sad and chilling story. Don't miss out on the hike up to the view point, it is well worth the climb, on a good day you can see all the other islands, the hike up to the wall is a bit long but incredibly beautiful.

I rented a bike and took the trail which was worth the experience and exercise. I hiked to the beach ,(playa) and took the upper path which had sweeping views and a welcome breeze! Quite a few tortoises along the beach path and quite a few more in the bike / hike path as the weather cooled in my pedal back.

No need for a tour guide. We self hiked to this location. Would recommend continuing the hike to el radar for a good viewpoint of the bay.

Great hike or bike to (my preference) along the ocean road into the out of this world mangrove and cactus landscape. Meeting turtels, comorans and iguans on your way to sceening look outs.

This is a little lovely hike to see the wall. Lots of birds and even saw a tortoise on the way. Had a guide to explain the history. Lots of other sites to see in the way up or down.

One of my favorite things I did in the Galapagos. Saw tortoises in the wild on the trail! It's really peaceful. Would recommend biking. It's all uphill there but completely downhill back. I pedaled maybe 10 times

After 5km of walking or biking as most people do you will reach the wall of tears. The wall isn't protected but it has history so respect it. You can carry on for a higher lookout to the old USA radar which give a nice view point on the crater, volcano and beach. I would recommend to do this trail (free)

Great hike, there is a little path behind the wall where you can see giant turtles in their own habitat.
It takes about 15mn to get up to the mirador, honestly, it may be hot but it really worth it, the view is breathtaking. I'll recommend to rent a bike early in the morning and go all the way to the wall so you avoid the heat and on the way back you can stop at the different beach alongside the main dirt road.

The ride to get there is amazing, do it preferably with bikes that you can rent from the town. The wall itself is an impressive construction especially when you know under what circumstances it was build. There’s also a view point up some stairs where you get a nice view over the lands around. Overall it’s a nice thing to do when in Isabella.

Highly suggested biking to the wall, take water and some sweet/energy bar because there is nothing close by, after you reached the wall there is a half an hour hiking you can do to the top of the hill, there you can see the most of island, and the remainder of an US radar

Bigger than I expected as the pictures don’t capture the height. The wall was cool to see in person.

Good bike ride distance but the heat added to the challenge. Cool to see giant tortoises along the way. Interesting story.

Impressive wall with serious historical background.
I recommend renting bikes and ride the road up to the entrance.
On the way to the wall you’ll probably be lucky and spot some wild giant turtles.
Behind the wall you’ll find steps to clim a little mountain for a view over Isabela island.

We biked with our kids. The youngest was 6. Bike ride is easy, some parts you just walk because of the steepness. Keep an eye on turtles crossing!

The wall itself isn’t majestic but id worth to visit due to the history behind it. You can do an up climbing walk for another 15 min to the radar viewpoint

We did a nice hike to the wall of tears. On the way we even saw some giant turtles. You can go up the radar hill to get to a wonderful lookout.
