This is the most beautiful retreat, the service and food in restaurant is the best I've had in Spain.Ive not stayed there but it's immaculate

First time here today and not the last lovely surroundings lovely meal and good value and lovely owners didn't stop in the hotel but will next time

We had a lovely day eating and chatting. The food was good. It's very rural, so nice & relaxing. I didn't stay there as I have family near by. Would definitely go again.

Didnt stay at Casa Joya but our Lunch was excellent. A bit disappointed in the wine choice. Several crossed out.

Wow, after our friends told us we had to go and we were not disappointed, the welcome, setting and food were the best.

An amazing trip. After not being able to travel in such long time this trip was very well fulfilling. A very tranquil location and amazing hosts. Beautiful decor and energy. Mary who always has great conversation and attentive and to the chef with amazing skills and food options which catered to our pescatarian and vegan needs.

Will be returning again soon.

Had the most amazing time, once again, at Casa Joya. The meal and overnight stay was a wonderful gift from our Daughter and Son in Law. The food, as always, was exceptional. James created the most incredible dishes for us all to enjoy.
Mary made us all feel so welcome and special. Looking forward to our next stay at La Joya.

Our second stay here. Fantastic setting with breathtaking scenery. Rooms are spotless, huge and beautifully decorated.
Our host, Mary, was friendly, attentive and nothing was too much trouble. The dinner was fabulous, James (the chef) we applaud you! Overall not a single negative. Will definitely return.

The experience starts when you leave the main road & drive through a fantastic scenic landscape of valleys & hills dotted with almond & olive groves.When you reach the restaurant the journey continues with a great welcome from Mary a cool drink & a gallery of pictures of a life well lived.
The aromas from the kitchen means James is creating yet another fabulous dish & his magic has begun.Sit at your table & let your tastebuds have the treat of their lives & visually you will not be disappointed by the art that James creates on your plate.I had been in the catering/restaurant for years & had my expectations easily surpassed by the cuisine & service.

What an incredible find in the beautiful Spanish countryside where the driveway down from the road is exciting in itself. Then you reach the lovely farmhouse in such a great setting. The hospitality and food were simply outstanding and I really felt we were getting exclusive attention at affordable prices. Well worth the travelling to this unique restaurant! Make sure you book!

It was our second visit yesterday with froends booked again for 29th December. The food is fantastic great place always a lovely warm welcome from Mary. Only issue we have is what to have the choice is great we keep going back so we can work our way through the whole of the menu. If you want great food and a warm welcome this place is a must.

We have just spent a thoroughly enjoyable two nights with dinner at this gem in the real Spanish countryside. The hosts Mary and James know exactly how to make you feel at home. The food is out of this world. If you want peace and tranquillity make time for this wonderful Casa. The dark sky's give you the added bonus of locating stars that you may not have seen before due to light pollution. Thank you again for a wonderful stay . Nick and Viv.

We take friends when here to a beautiful place in the countryside, and enjoy a wonderful lunch.
All our friends who we have taken are stunned by the views from the patio, and the food is so delicious and the presentation is superb.

Wonderful 2 night stay here. Hosts Mary and James couldn't have been more welcoming and the whole atmosphere was one of relaxation. Casa Joya is surrounded by almond groves which will be stunning scenery when the blossom is out in spring. Although miles from anywhere, the mini apartments are equipped for self catering which we did on our first night. Our second night we ate in the restaurant, truly excellent dinner. The towns of Velez Rubio and Velez Blanco are about 20 kilometres away. Also the Sierra de Maria Los Vélez Natural Park is not to be missed. Julie and Barrie Naylor May 2021.

I have been living in Spain for 18 months and am always on the search for excellent food and found it at Casa Joya. Came recommended and have now visited 5 times since November 2012. We have been for lunch, dinner and stayed overnight and always look forward to the next time. In fact 11 of us are booked in for lunch at 2.30 today. The food is amazing, the prices are correct and the restaurant is beautiful. It takes us 45 mins to get there but we dont even think about the journey as its so worth it.

Lovely,quirky, so much to look at everywhere. Bits of art, memorabilia, trinkets. A very relaxed vibe. Fantastic food cooked fresh. Lovely people. Will definitely be going back.
