Nice restaurant in the mountains below the monastery.
Great value menu del dia. Included starter , bread, main course dessert, coffee and a drink !

I stop here on the way home from town.
The beer is always cold, as you can see from the picture, the glass is cold enough to turn the head and condensation to ice.!!
It is quite a surreal experience to drink the beer considering I was born and brought up in Scotland, a much colder climate.
Petrol and diesel available.
I have not dined here, but there is always someone in for food, and at the weekend there is often large groups and couples out for a meal.

I'm back again for the first time after covid.
The beer is still cold and I had added nibbles.
I guess I will be back to being a frequent visitor.

It's my monthly shop in albox.
The rain has stopped and the sun is out, how could I pass this fine establishment on the way home,?!
The word in Spanish is "tanques", for a pint of beer in a glass.!

Today I was served the Spanish equivalent of "scotch eggs".
Delicious.!

We would have discounted this place if it had not been for friends taking us. The food and service were excellent. Very unassuming exterior (apart from the marble) Inside very impressive internal design. Some lovely wood panelling.

The staff were fantastic, one of the best Menu del Dia we have had. The food was so tasty and very filling.

Simple but excellent..solid, good rural Spanish cuisine made with quality ingredient..friendly service, they dont speak much English but foreign tourists are truly welcome...menu del dia is a steal and will keep you fed for lunch and dinner !!! Must stop on the way up or down the Saliente..

Fantastic service and delicious quality food. We enjoyed a wonderful valentines meal here. The food was outstanding and Fantastic value for money. Can't wait for this to be our local restaurant.

We had been told about this restaurant a few times and decided to give it a try. Nestled behind a petrol station you might expect a greasy spoon Café but you couldn't be more wrong. This is a gem the interior is palacial with marble flooring and beautiful wooden features.
The waitress Clementa, was so friendly and we had fun correcting my Spanish and her English.
The menu was extensive and reasonably priced. The food was excellent.
The whole experience was five star, my first 'five' for albox restaurants.
Go there and see, we will certainly go again.

Been many times for just tapas or even a evening meal as Well as a Valentine's meal and cannot fault it as you pull up and see it as a petrol station but when you go into the bar it is a wow factor not what you expect and the food never had a bad meal in would recommend
