Meson Don JIMENO

Best suckling pig (Lechon) we ever had, and we’ve tried a lot. Served on a hot skillet with fries. Stays hot until the end. Flavorful, juicy and very little fat. Nice crispy skin. Along with a bottle of local wine this was a perfect lunch.

Best cochinillo Asado and mushrooms dishes. The skin is so crispy and the meat so juicy and tender. We loved it. A tip - there are only 7 tables in this restaurant. We came at 2Pm and couldn’t get in. We came back at 4pm and the place was wide open. We had a quiet, enjoyable lunch late enough in the day that it was also dinner!

Found this lovely restaurant on Trip Advisor and since it was only a few minutes from our hotel we decided to go.

I had heard about cochinillo but didn't try it the last time I was in Segovia. I now understand all the hype. It was delicious. The meat was seasoned just right and fell off the bone. It's served with french fries and the portion is more than enough for two people.

We also tried the deserts - arroz con leche and natillas. They were also very good and worth trying if you have room after eating the cochinillo.

We arrived a little before 2pm had to wait about half an hour for a seat. You may want to try getting there around 1pm or 3pm to avoid the crowds. The service was excellent and we left full and well-satisfied. Highly recommended.

Stopped in for a drink and tapas. Very cozy place. Also ordered the soups from the menu, which were both delicious. Desserts: Rice pudding and the Homemade egg custard were delicious. Service was also very good.

Great food. Great Service. If there was an option to rate this restaurant for every visit, I would give them 5 stars every time. Every time I visit Madrid I take a trip to Segovia for the sole purpose of visiting Meson don Jimeno.

Absolutely worth the hype! Succulent and perfectly cooked pork. Even our 10 month old couldn't resist digging in! Warm, attentive service; they had a high chair for our daughter as well.

A little off the beaten path, but well worth the find. We purposely avoided the public square restaurants and wanted to find something less commercial. Try the suckling pig, which is a typical dish for Segovia.

we ordered baby pig bbq for 2~3 serving. The pork was very crispy & moisturozing. Also the atmosphere there was very comfort and server was very kind. So i want to recommend this place if yoi want to eat baby pig bbq.

Hidden gem, price is incredible and the good is Wow! I recommend the cordero booking in advance as it's a small place! The owners are very nice as it was late and they also accepted us. 10/10

Services was more than excellent, the cochinillo is perfect for 2, is super tasty if you like pork you definitely needs to try it and Poche segoviano if one of the best desserts that I had in Spain, I super recommend this restaurant.

When in Segovia you must try the pork. It's a must eat for all carnivores.... As a Filipino I can't say it's better than lechon but.....it pretty close. We went to Meson Don JIMENO. They only have a few tables so if they're full, make a reservation then go see the Alcázar de Segovia then come back. Worth the wait. A bit pricey at €140 for a whole pig so we only ordered the meal size.

The pork just melts in your mouth. What an amazing meal!!!

Wonderful family owned restaurant, with the best pork and lamb roast. The wine was excellent, and so were the pastries.

It's very small and cozy place. Segovian pancha is a must try here.

Had fried chorizo and the white beans - better than all the other touristy places in Segovia.

Very good food. I had the piglet and it was tender and juicy. The skin was crispy and very tasty. The owners are very friendly and the service is spot on. When you visit Segovia and don't know where to eat, this the place to go. Enjoy 😀

Simply incredible. Friendly staff even though we arrived right near their closing time. The roasted pig was some of the best I've ever eaten, and the sagovia cake was marvelous. A must stop while in town.
