Postigo Del Consuelo

This observation point gives amazing view over the whole aqueduct together with the town. And if you're lucky to have a sunny weather then on top of that you'll enjoy a picturesque landscape: greenery, mountains and bright blue sky.
To get here will require a bit of a climb over stairs, but it's absolutely easy to do that, and you'll have a superb spot for photos and selfies.

Postigo del Consuelo - Located at the intersection with the Aqueduct was the main passage of people who linked the walled enclosure with the Plaza del Azoguejo, commercial center between the city and the suburbs.

A nearby church already disappeared gave name to this shutter.

Demolished in the nineteenth century and later rebuilt in the twentieth using remains of a building disassembled in another point of the city.

This place is amazing!! I came here around 9 am and no one was here.

Recommend to walk up here to take pics. It's really nice here. you can even see the mountains far where is snowing.

Must go! I personally like Segovia more than Toledo.

The view in day time and at night are totally difference. You should visit it in both day and night, especially during sun set. It is most beautiful in sun set time when you can see the drainage is in orange colour. This is one of the most beautiful place in Segovia, Spain.

Verlo es sentirte pequeño y preguntarte: estamos tan lejos de aquella civilización romana con una ingeniería tan avanzada capaz de increíbles logros? Ver esa espléndida arquería de sillares perfectamente encajados unos con otros te deja boquiabierto. Alucinante.

Las mejores vistas del ACUEDUCTO DE SEGOVIA, es una terraza espectacular y su nombre proviene de una pequeña ermita que se encontraba en el lugar.
Se puede acceder por la parte de arriba desde la PLAZA DE AVENDAÑO o por la escalinata que esta pegada al propio acueducto desde la PLAZA DE AZOQUEJO, donde esta la oficina de turismo.
El mejor sitio para disfrutar de las vistas de la ciudad y poder observar la grandiosidad de la obra.
MERECE LA PENA NO TE LO PIERDAS.

El Postigo del Consuelo, es muy imponente y hermoso que permite visualizar la entrada de la parte alta del acueducto, tiene unas hermosas vistas y nos explica mucho de la historia de Segovia, me encantó, es magnifico.
