Very pretty beach with fine, grey sand. Quite open waters - not a bay. Mostly empty in October, with more people to the west beyond the rock (presumably for shelter). No facilities or development (as with most beaches in Cabo de Gata).

Great little secluded beach. You have to be careful if you go swimming as there can be strong currents and there are no lifeguards.
You can walk to the beach or you can take the car to the last parking and walk. If you go by car you need to buy a day permit to enter the area and take the dirt track.
Beware that there are no services at the beach so make sure you bring everything you may need, and take everything back with you.

Beautiful beach with volcanic rocks right on the beach. About 2 km further from Playa de los Genoveses. More windy than that beach. Beach slowly turning deeper, so ideal for small children. Parking is a bit after seeing the beach, so not along the road just before the beach, as many do (illegal). Like the whole region Cabo de Gata, about 1 hour before sunset many aggressive mosquitos appear, so better to leave earlier.

An amazing beach with lovely soft sand. Super quiet when we were there. Only 10 other people there or so. The sea was out so we managed to skirt around the rocks to a smaller beach. Quite windy but we found shelter by the rocks which also doubled as a sun shade.

Beautiful beach. If you come by car, go early since parking is limited.

Beautiful clean beach. Warm shallow water. Perfect for small and young kids. Can be busy at the weekends but worth the wait for a car space. 2nd beach further down is windier and has great waves.

Stunning beach, off the commercial zone and a bit of a journey to get too but is beautiful. Crystal clear waters and hardly any shelf in the water makes it perfect for swimming with kids and snorkeling. The whole of Cabo de Gata is amazing and you could spend ages exploring the coastline. Will 100% visit again.

One of the beaches in Europe. Very clean, great sand and very shallow slope into the sea. A beautiful place not to be missed.
There are signs for the beach as you reach San Jose. It is about 4km on an unsurfaced road. There is parking which is a short walk away. This is not free in high season, €5 this summer. I understand that parking can be a problem in July/August. Take plenty of drinking water/food as there are no facilities of any kind at or near the beach.

Very nice beach with dark sand. The water is very clear. Really good place to do some snorkeling, you can spot many fish.
On the left side there is a big sand dune. If you climb on top of it, you will see few other beaches and very nice views in general.

To enter the beach, you will need to pay 5eur (only during the High season). There is a big parking space, walk to the beach is maximum 5 min.

Great, great place. Ideal for swimming, sunbathing (watch out!), trekking, sightseeing, snorkelling, reading, breathing, daydreaming. Crystal-clear chilled water in this Mediterranean unique volcanic geography. Visit Cabo de Gata's beaches in low season - autumn through spring - and you will get the most of the experience. In summer the management of the natural park has established restrictions for entering, then just go earlier in the morning and get the bus.

When it is not windy, it is a beautiful beach. Sand bottom and very shallow for a long way.

Beautiful unspoilt beach with amazing views incredibly winding on the afternoon that we came to visit. Prepare yourself for a very bumpy ride as you travel the so called road to the beach

Best beach ever close to San José, Andalucia. No services available so take your food, drinks and sunscreen with you!

One of the most beautiful beaches I’ve ever been to. Crystal clear water. Only locals were here.
