Very nice visit. The people were super nice and the tour was well done. There is an English Audio guide. The whole tour was cool but of course the geode was the best! They let you get a great view. The rest of the tour was also super nice. They had some fluorescent rocks as well. Overall super. Easy to find with parking. Nice view from the top as well.
Definitely do the visit in the morning seems like it could get full by the afternoon.

This is an amazing Geode and worth the build up to it. If you are wanting to see it book in advance as it always seems to be booked out for more than one week, unless a tour cancels at the last minute and spaces become available.
Get there 30mins before your slot.
The tour is only in Spanish so it is well worth getting the Audio guide at €3 each otherwise you’ll be lost. The tour is 90 mins but does pass pretty quickly, culminating in the Geode itself.
You are not allowed to take any pictures in the mine for some reason but your guid will take pict with their phone and you can buy them at the end for €1 and they email them to you, so it’s not too bad.
There are quite a few steps down to the final part so and only one section has a lift for the spiral staircase. So if you do struggle with mobility would be a bit of a challenge.
Well worth the wait you actually climb into the entrance to the Geode and look into it, which is amazing. Then you can get your picture st the entrance which comes out really well.
To go into the Geode you do have to wear a hair net and face mask (assume it’s to keep it clean and pure but never understood that bit).
There is a small gift shop bit they are build a new centre and you can see that it will great once done and a more established tourist destination.
So for €22 each it’s a great visit and a different day out that.
PS it’s not too cold in there, around 14 degrees so a jumper is all that you really need

Afternoon 14 Segovia Trip.
The Pulpí Geode, also known as the Giant Geode, is the one of the largest crystal caves ever found, and is the largest accessible geode in the world.
The geological phenomenon is located in an abandoned silver mine. Discovered in 1999 it opened to the public in 2019.
A geode is a void formed from an air bubble inside volcanic, metamorphic or sedimentary rock. It is filled with crystals formed from mineral deposits.
The Giant Geode measures 8 metres long by 2 metres high, and is covered with huge translucent gypsum crystals up to 2 metres in length. The transparency, size and state of preservation of this geode make it unique.

Truly a wonderful experience, great for budding geologists but a must see for anyone.
Apart from the geode itself which is awe inspiring, the walk there is a fascinating subterranean route with many different rocks, strata, folds and layers with many crystals and mi petals.(15 euros...pre book)
Guide very knowledgeable...in Spanish...but you can hire portable tour guides in different languages too.
Also available in the castle at San Juan del lis Terreros is a very good virtual trip to see the geode...excellent for background information...(1 euro)

It was, a fantastic experience. Not to low inside the tunnels. The guide was full of information. Lots of walking but managable there is a lift for the highest bit.

An amazing place to visit and its well signposted. An old silver mine restored for public access. Guided tours with groups max 12. Not easy to book ahead online but usually with spaces available on early tours if you just turn up.
You must wear strong shoes or trainers: hard hats are issued and special arrangements are possible for the disabled. 162 steps and a long walk so he tour takes the best part of 2 hours.
Guides may only speak Spanish so you can hire an audio tour gadget for 3e - helpful booking and reception staff.

I got so lucky to get a reservation here. You definitely need to order tickets well in advance to see this amazing place. The tour was a little over two hours. Get the translator guide and pictures. You won't be disappointed. And the gift shop has some great things to bring back too. The staff is very helpful. And of course you can't crawl around in the geode. The will let you crawl into the opening to see the beauty inside, but they want to preserve it, obviously, and are taking measures to do so. It's a blessing to even be able to crawl into it. This is definitely an amazing wonder of our planet to say the least.

Well worth a visit! The website is not always easy, so persist with it. Also, be advised that footwear must have closed backs. You cannot enter with personal belongings, such as bags, handbags etc., Enjoy!

Really interesting experience. The tour is well organised and a recording of it is available in English for 3€. The geode is astonishing. Well worth the entrance fee. The gift shop is well priced too. I was the least fit of our group and I made it up and down the spiral staircase. I was puffed but not badly.

Incredible tour of the mine shafts and the amazing crystals. Well organised, toilets available and plenty of parking. Quite a lot of walking and some low ceilings, hard hats are provided. The tour was in Spanish but you can pay extra for a recorded guide machine. Tour is about 90 minutes, the guide takes photos during the tour which you can buy at the end and they are sent by email. A good experience to see a unique creation by nature. No bags, back packs, bum bags allowed.
