Green River Hostel

Great hostel and great location. Staff was friendly and helpful, they'll make you feel home from the very first day!
Room was big and comfortable. Highly clean place, I was actually amazed by how clean and modern the bathrooms, showers, kitchen area and rooms were.
Cuenca can be really cold during the winter but you won't notice it inside the hostel.

Highly recommended. Cheapest price on the area too, 15€ per night in a 5 people room. WiFi worked great. Average breakfast: toast, muffins, cereals, jams, tea, coffee and milk. Breakfast hours are 8.30-10.30 but they will put out some stuff for you if you have to leave earlier.
Can use the shared kitchen to cook or the breakfast area where there's a fridge to keep your food and a microwave.

Common area on the first floor is perfect for chilling, read a book, play some of the board games they have or use the shared laptop, which was great to do some work!

Have a laundry area too, with washing machine and dryer.

Only two bad things: the shower in the room didn't have much privacy as the door was glass and the extra charge for towels, 2€.

P.S: Wish I could take the mattress with me, best night sleep ever!

Clean hostel with comfortable beds. Showers are hot and powerful. A basic breakfast is provided. Good WiFi. No cooking facilities but a microwave and fridge is available. A good standard as far as hostels go.

Extremely clean and organized. The cleanliness of the rooms and bathrooms delighted me. The reception is very polite! I recommend Green River Hostel 100%. Everything is excellent! Congratulations!

This place is a hidden gem. Cuenca is off the tourist radar for most international visitors and I don't know why, it's such a lovely place. This hostel is incredible. The thought and design that was put into this place is incredible. They took so many of the old features of this beautiful building and modernized the facilities. I have zero complaints the bathrooms, common areas, and patio are all great places. I can't recommend staying here enough you don't be disappointed. Also the location is right by the bus stop which takes you to the train stations and also very close to a pedestrian area and just at the base of the old city.

The Green River Hostel deserves a big applause! The styling is outstanding, it's clean, practical and the atmosphere is just perfect. Breakfast was tasty. The old centre is only a 10 minutes walk. It was also possible to park my bike safely. A wonderful place! I highly recommend.

The best facilities in a hostel I have ever seen, and I’ve seen a lot. Seriously, from the rooms, to the showers, to the lounge and the kitchen, everything is perfect.
And it’s right at the border of the new and the old city (with bus stops next to the hostel)

The only bad thing I would say is that no staff speaks English. But literally no one speaks English in this town :/

The best hostel in cuenca! Created with a lot if heart with thoughts about every detail. Very clean, nice kitchen, comfortable chill area, nice beds, good bathroom. Nothing to complain about.

This is a cosy and relatively new hostel. Named after the green river that flows right in front of it (the name is not obvious since the river is hidden behind a park opposite the hostel). Friendly staff. Breakfast is basic but filling. Location super convenient.

Friendly staff, top ten for the cleanliness, fantastic location and wonderful views to the riverside from the room.
The spaces for relaxing are ample and very well furnished.

Great atmosphere and rooms are really clean and welcoming, the communal areas have a lot of character.
