Restaurante María Morena

This was our favorite restaurant in Cuenca. Our server was so sweet and helpful and recommended some delicious dishes we’ve never tried. The views were gorgeous as well. Highly recommend!

Great meal and great service with reasonable prices.

Ate dinner here on a nice summer night. The service was attentive, friendly, and helpful. The food was outstanding, I really enjoyed the Ferrero roché de Morcilla, which was recommended by the waitress, and the tarta de queso. Great views when sitting outside.

Delicious food, Spanish classics with a twist. Attentive staff and agreeable space, though the tables are rather close together. We'd like to return when the weather is nicer to enjoy the outdoor seating.

Incredible food, I got their salmon and it was the best I've had in a while. The workers are very friendly, i speak English and not a lot of Spanish so it was good to know they still understood me. I loved the decor, and the seats and tables were inviting and very comfortable. I definitely recommend this place.

Food in this restaurant is exceptional, beautifully cooked and presented. Atmosphere was a little lacking but we were there early and I am sure that improves later on. Would most certainly go back

Maria Morena is a great little restaurant, hidden at the far end of the touristic center. You have to walk up all the way right till the end of the street but it is absolutely worth it. We had dinner and lunch there and both were excellent, the service was great, very friendly staff! Although english was difficult, the waitress helped us out great with a lot of patience and efforts to understand eachother. When we came back for lunch, we were actually on the wrong side (only for drinks) but we were served anyway, just to help us out. Great food, great service!

Stopped here for refreshments when visiting Cuenca. Met the proprietor, absolutely charming. Enjoyed a delicious light lunch. Well worth a visit

Everything was delicious! Great service, nice place and reasonably priced. We had a few beers, red wine, zarzalos, ciervo, paletilla de lechal and a cheesecake. The beers come with a lovely tapa included too. The whole thing was less than 50 euros. Great restaurant to eat at if you go to Cuenca.

The lamb and roast baby pig are good. If the German style knuckle is with skin it could be much better.

Llegamos muy tarde un domingo, un grupo de 7 personas y nos antojamos de una mesa fuera que los chicos tuvieron que limpiar. Aún así fueron especialmente agradables y nos recomendaron muchos de los platos que comimos. Si vais a comer ajoarriero y morteruelo, con media ración es suficiente. De resto, pedimos las raciones completas y todo divino y buen tamaño. Los postres estupendos. Volveremos sin duda.

Fuimos a pasar el día a Cuenca y comimos aquí. La ubicación excepcional en la parte alta de la ciudad, se está agustísimo en la terraza. La comida de 10, pedimos albóndigas de cordero (1/2 ración para probar, buenísimas), y aparte hamburguesa de gamo y chuletillas de lechal. Al principio sirvieron aperitivo de patatas en salsa con la consumición. Todo exquisito, calidad extraordinaria, cantidades perfectas. El brownie casero recién hecho, también riquísimo. La única pega que la salsa de la hamburguesa mejor servirla aparte para quien quiera añadirla, parecía mermelada de tomate, le daba demasiado dulzor.
Trato genial y precio adecuado, no es caro para lo bien que comimos con postre y café.
