Very nice and easy reachable viewpoint. There is a huge parking spot 100m away from the Ermita (however the walk from there is not flat) from the outside it looks like a ruin however the inside is still a “fully functional” church. Don’t only go for the Ermita but also for the many vultures nesting around and flying over

The isolated location in a countryside Spain still keeps its medieval ambiance and feeling when you look at the landscape around. You might imagine that such place hosted the presence of Don Quijote and Sancho Panza when you look at notice boards stating words and decrees of king Alfonso X granting authority and ownwership to the Priorate.

This is a wonderful place sitting on a steep hill above a fantastic canyon. When I visited it the monastery was closed so I cannot comment on the interior, but the ruins are impressive and the countryside around it even more. This is a great place for hiking or kayaking (in the reservoir below). The most astounding thing is the vultures gliding in the hot air currents above your head. Amazing! There's no water so make sure you bring plenty with you. The hike to it is easy but on your way back to the car park it's a bit of a climb so be prepared.

Very beautiful nature and the Ermita located beautiful in the middle. Had found it randomly online prior to coming to spain and considered to drop it on the day to do other stuff as we had not heard much except that random source. Glad we did not. The river(lake) looked like the famous horseshoe bend but we could walk around all by our self. Like we only saw one other group coming down when we walked back to the parking lot. around 11 am on a friday. One of the best places we visited in spain. Also the road is gravel but in great condition and we did think "Man we are far out in the spanish countryside" when driving here. But is was easily accesible from our rout from Madrid to Burgos.

I read a lot about this destination and was almost deterred by some of the scary comments. I am most grateful I wasn't, as it was spectacular. To set the record straight: the road to the overlook is indeed poorly maintained and filled with potholes, but can certainly be navigated in any car if you drive slowly and stay alert. Also, the walk to the Ermitas (which was one of the highlights of my two weeks in Spain), should not deter anyone who doesn't have substantial mobility issues. The path is wide, and while the terrain is a bit uneven and rocky, there is no scrambling involved and the elevation change is gradual. I had the place entirely to myself, and it was a magical moment, gazing past a tiny graveyard at the river below and the birds gliding along the canyon walls.

Great views of the cliffs and lots of eagles flying around in their natural habitat

Amazing views of the river and mountains. There is a small chapel in the ruins. A short walk from the carpark

The view of the Ermita from the view point is really dramatic, well worth the annoyance of driving several kilometers on an unpaved road.

Not known by many, even Spanish people. But one of the most beautiful places in SPAIN in the province of Segovia.

Belleza incalculable. Tiene unas tumbas en la parte posterior.
