Steakhouse Montevideo

We had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Steakhouse Montevideo. It's not the sort of place we'd usually choose but we were glad that we tried it and will return. The mixed bbq meat which each person cooks themselves on a hot stone is really tasty and very lean good quality meat with lots of flavour with the added novelty of eating it as you cook it to your own liking. The place itself looks a little run down and unloved but the food is certainly not, the presentation of the meats to be cooked is quite spectacular.

Absolutely delicious and the steaks are on point every time. Even their children's pork steak comes out on a hot stone! Best eating experience around, hands down. Great service and lovely ambiance too.

Good restaurant. You make your own meat on a hot stone. Great place to eat. It is very busy so it is a good idea to make a reservation.

Great food, the steak on stone is really tasty. The place also has a very nice atmosphere and especially the inside is beautiful. Very friendly and very personal service. The only thing we weren’t so sure about was the salad starter and bread quality - but still a very nice experience overall.

If you like steak, this is a great place to have it, cook it your self on a hot stone to the perfection of your personal taste., full instructions , for beginners given . Their deserts are good too,

Very nice and great way of cooking your steak on the hot stone yourself , I like medium and made it surprisingly fun to do.
Will go back there and recommend set meal nicely priced 3 courses.

Lovely restaurant, and the steaks again. are just wonderful, I like the hot slabs that you can cook steaks to your own taste. Very welcoming owners, good parking ,can t wait to go again

The second visit to this restaurant, since its change of ownership, proves to maintain the quality of the food and service from our first visit which was for the main a la carte. For the second visit we chose to sample the menu del dia. Both visits were amply rewarded, and good value for money.
