Casona Granado

What a lovely place!
For those having fun at Almeria race track Casona Granado is the place to be. Here you’ll find a relaxing atmosphere, quietness, good food and magnificient beds. It’s the perfect balance in a beatiful place.

We had a golf tour and stayed at this hotel. Amazing hospitality and food. The staff were awesome and really looked after us. My favourite was the porterhouse steak.

For us, an elderly couple, we were able to enjoy the peaceful rural location of Casona Granado in charming accommodation. Our room was comfortable, particularly the bed, with the Juliet balcony overlooking the village. Drinking water was supplied, albeit a tricky bottle to open! We had coffee and drinks on a plant festooned terrace before enjoying a delicious meal in the dining room. Breakfast the following morning was Spanish continental and yummy. The staff were all friendly and helpful and we won’t hesitate in recommending the place to others. We look forward to a return visit.

Stayed at the Casona Granado for 4 nights in December 2023. The hotel was lovely, the food and service exceptional. We stayed for a motorcycle track day in nearby Circuito de Almeria / Andalucia. 25 minute drive to the circuit.

I brought a group of cyclists in February and stayed for a week. It was the ideal venue for cycling all day and then being looked after like royalty every evening. Food is delicious, rooms are comfortable and stylish and even our bikes had their own room!
Clay, Rachel and Amanda couldn't have been better hosts.

Rachel and Clayton couldn't do enough for us on our stay, so friendly and welcoming. The rooms are beautiful and clean. The food in the restaurant cooked by Clayton himself was absolutely delicious and I'm a complete foodie. Rachel did a great job of front of house and the restaurant ran like clockwork. If your after a quiet , quiant family run stay then this is the place. We will be back with the family for sure .

Great breakfast and dinner, every time! A nice menu-cart and cosey rooms with good cleaning (thank you Susan!). We’ve had a great, relaxing holiday and are refueled with energy for our soon to be born daughter! P.s. they are also very helpful with planning local trips :)

Spent a lovely long weekend at Casona Granado with my husband and daughter. The rooms were impeccable and the bed was so so comfortable. The Albar Restaurant served up great food and the facilities were excellent. My daughter and I spent each afternoon in the outdoor hot tub and the swimming pool looked so inviting, although it was a bit cold for a swim in October!

Hosts Clayton and Rachel are delightful and nothing was too much trouble when we asked. We will definitely return for another stay!

We came here two years ago. Rachel and Clay instantly made us feel home away from home. Very accommodating, friendly and willing to make our stay enjoyable. We decided after all lockdowns and quarantine to stay with them again and it did not disappoint, the room as always was spotless and very nicely decorated, breakfast was delicious and the restaurant in the evening filled with a nice laid back atmosphere and delicious smells from the kitchen.
The area around the hotel is abundant with hiking trails and tiny villages.
The only thing we dislike is checking out and driving back home...

We were two friends travelling through the south of Spain and booked Casona Granada for a nights stay. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed a swim and relaxed by the pool before eating a beautiful meal in their restaurant. The meal was presented with a lot of care and love and it was really good. We enjoyed a lovely breakfast the next morning before leaving. I highly recommend this lovely accommodation and restaurant we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Perfect and peaceful. Wonderful 3 night break in fantastic dog- friendly hotel. The owners Clayton and Rachel made us and Jasper our dog so welcome. The hotel was characterful and stylish, our room was large and the bed very comfortable. We had great food in the restaurant on 2 nights and really enjoyed our breakfasts on the terrace. We would definitely stay there again

We wanted to give ourselves a break from all the Corona shizzle and ended up finding this hidden gem. The minute we entered we already felt welcome. Rachel, Amanda and Clay completely pampered us the whole week and really brought hospitality to the next level.
The rooms were clean and tastefully decorated. There is a nice jacuzzi and swimming pool. The pool is not heated though, so it's for the brave ones ;-) Location is nice and quiet. You do have to grab the car if you want to do something, 'cause it is located in a very small village.
Highly recommend to dine at the accompanied restaurant. We thought we would eat there one or two times but ended up eating there every day because the food was just amazing. Oh and if you can, book the room with breakfast included. It's a mini party at your table every morning.

Just recently stayed at this excellent accommodation close to Almeria racing circuit - clean spacious rooms, top quality food from the restaurant for dinner & breakfast and the staff were all really friendly and accommodating for any of our needs. Highly recommend staying/eating here if you’re in the area of Almeria or doing a track day at the circuit and needing a place to stay.

Truly living up to the word "boutique hotel". Lovely decorated house, large rooms, very comfortable beds, all in a picturesque setting in the hamlet of El Pilar.

We had an excellent dinner in the restaurant Albar, Clayton the chef is not only a skilled cook but also a great host!

Amazing peaceful casa rural. Beautiful interior design in a refurbished old country house. Organic products in the bedroom and restaurant and the most charming couple running the place. Lovely garden to chill with an enchanting fountain to help you relax and a swimming pool to cool the Almería sun down. Best spot in the area to disconnect for a few days.

We came here last year and loved it so much we came back this year we traveled by motorcycle as the roads here are fantastic for motorcycles with brilliant never ending mountain roads

What a stunning place to spend a much overdue weekend away! We can’t recommend this boutique hotel enough. Clean, welcoming and just a drive away from the coast. The hosts Rachel & Clayton couldn’t have been more accommodating and did I mention their home made pizzas are to die for? If you want a break away from the hustle & bustle of daily life this is the perfect little gem to descend upon. There is a pool, jacuzzi & sun area to relax and when your appetite is calling there is a great menu to tantalise your tastebuds! Can’t wait for our next break in paradise! Thank you both, and not forgetting the awesome Amanda, for an unforgettable weekend away! Highly recommended! 5*s.

My girlfriend and I decided to visit this part of Spain primarily because we had read about this unique little hotel, and we’re very glad that we made that decision.

This was the first time in Spain for both of us, and staying in a rural village with a population of around 50 people was a great introduction to the country.

Our room was spacious and charming, the hotel was very well maintained and the food in the restaurant was consistently excellent and great value for money.

But more than anything, it’s the people at Casona Granado that made the biggest positive impact on our stay. Rachel, Clayton and Amanda (as well as the rest of the team) were extremely accommodating, hospitable, friendly and really took the time to get to know us and make our stay a wonderful one. Clayton even took us out for dinner at a local bar which was very much off the beaten tourist track that was probably the most memorable meal we had during our three and a half week holiday.

We really can’t recommend this hotel enough. If you are looking for a unique stay in the Southern Spain that will stay with you for a long time after you’ve left, then do yourself a favour and make a booking here.

Fantastic friendly service, the hosts went above and beyond to make this the most relaxing three nights away. The food was delicious and I did try to work my way through the menu. Excellent wines to compliment the meals. I needed a complete rest and to be looked after and this is just exactly what I got. Thank you guys, hope to see you again very soon.
