This was such a perfect little hotel for our honeymoon! We were so sad to leave and we're still talking about our experiences there. La Almunia had the warmest, most amazing staff and Patricia is such a gracious and charming host.
Breakfast every morning was magical with the Mountain Views. We had dinner there three nights in a row because the food was so delicious and Jose, our server, made sure to take us on a wonderful journey pairing wine with our food.
He's very humble but knows so much! We want to come back many times and bring our friends and family because this was how we were treated there. Thank you so so much!

We had an incredible stay at La Almunia del Valle. It was a bit of a drive to get there, but well worth it. The rooms are very clean and modern with splendid views. The staff are kind and attentive beyond all expectations, and provided us with great recommendations of things to do in the area. The views from the breakfast and dinner area are breathtaking. There is a beautiful 10km hike that can be done from the hotel, it goes through the mountains and follows a river on the way back. This hotel was better than some 5 star hotels we have stayed at.

I came here with my wife as our first destination on our honeymoon and it exceeded all expectations. The location was perfect and felt removed from the bustle of Granada, but very easy to get into town to see the sights. The hiking which is accessible on foot from the resort was a beautiful way to see the area, and the pool made for a welcome return during the heat. Staff were all so genuine and helpful, and made our stay one we'll remember for a long time. The rooms are very clean, comfortable, and cute. I'd also recommend eating there at least one night during your stay as the food is locally sourced and deliciously prepared. Sitting on their terrace watching the sunset was one of our highlights. I can't recommend this place enough and we're excited to go back!

This was our last and by far the best hotel during our stay in Andalusia.

The hosts were really friendly. The food (dinner and breakfast) were exceptional and the service was the best ive ever experienced in a hotel. On the last day we needed to leave a bit early. But the hotel prepared a breakfast. So we could still enjoy their (did i already say: amazing) food.

Cant recommend this hotel enough.

Great place to stay when visiting Granada and Sierra Nevada. Very friendly people. Gave us lots of tips to do and visit. Dinner at the hotel is highly recommended. Love the 2 cute little doggies 🙃

Wonderful hotel surrounded by nature with great service. Breakfast is one of the best I’ve had and I can highly recommend the dinner as well.

Room and bed are comfortable. You can walk to the village and to hiking area. I’ll be coming back definitely.

A truly magical hotel nested in the mountains. The staff and quality of the service is unparalleled.

Rooms are big and modern, all with stunning patios. It’s an oasis of peace but still close to many activities in Granada. I recommend doing the Circular de los Cahorros hike, starting right at the hotel.

Food is great, with superb views and visits from the hotel pets!

A small and wonderfully situated hotel with exceptionally friendly and devoted staff. The food is delicious, lots of choice with great fruit and ham for breakfast, and the dinner menu is simply amazing in creativity and quality.

We spent our honeymoon at La Almunia and it was the best. It was a beautiful location with all the amenities and the staff was incredible. We also had breakfast/dinners here that were delicious. There are two dogs on site, Fermin and Pippa, and they were darling. Definitely recommend!

This is certainly a place to return to... the venue on itself is authentic, although very well equipped. Our room had its own terrace, a large bathroom and comfortable bed. Its location is unique.
The breakfast is really of a great standard, offering each day a different varied buffet.
Every evening, there is the occasion to have dinner at the hotel. We had it each evening of our 4 nights stay, as it is really great value for money!! The menu is different each day, the quality is high with fresh ingredients. A good wine list gives you the opportunity to have your meal accompanied by a tasty bottle. The setting is unique and romantic.
The staff is doing a great job, very helpful and attentive.

We loved our stay at the Almunia del Valle. First, the staff and owner were incredibly warm and accommodating -- we had a few special requests that they were very happy to assist with.

We did dinner at the Almunia both nights, and breakfast was included. Every meal there was among the best we had on our trip to Spain. There was great variety, especially at breakfast. The handpicked wine list supplied excellent accompaniment to the excellent food each night.

Every room faces the beautiful view of the valley and mountains. And it is striking how remote it feels while being so close to Monachil and Granada. The grounds are small, but very well maintained. We would also recommend the Los Cohorros hike, which begins about 500 meters from the Almunia.

We would love to stay there again.

The hotel is conveniently located a bit outside Granada, so you have all the nature & hikes of the Sierra Nevada at your doorstep, while the Alhambra is only a short car ride away.

As many of the other guests wrote, the food in the hotel is phenomenal! Organic, local & very tasty - we always ate at the hotel and were super happy!

Last but not least - the staff! You can really feel that everyone is proud to work here - their passion, their knowledge & willingness to explain and to just go the extra mile to make your stay fantastic… Thank you for a wonderful stay!!! ✨

Such an amazing hotel ! Nested in the mountains - surrounded by breathtaking views our stay with simply perfect . From the warm welcoming of the owner - Patricia who spent so much time helping us out and advising on what to see . To the superb room with a beautiful balcony and surprising shower. Dinner was impeccable - fresh products from the surroundings . Breakfast so generous with home made breads juices , regional cheese , and what not . And the wine ( red white cava you name it ) all from the area and so tasty .
We were lucky to close the season and celebrate last week end with the other guests and the staff around a glass of cava . A memorable experience.
A perfect stay and great choice for those willing to visit Grenada but looking for a special stay.

Me and my husband visited Almunia del Valle in mid February and we stayed three nights. We were greeted by a very polite and friendly staff who showed us around and told us about different things we could do while staying at the hotel. This was especially helpful when we decided to do the "La Ruta de los Cahorros de Monachil", an 2.5-3 hour walk along the Monachil river and mountains (absolutely fantastic views and crazy yet wonderful terrain!). The owner Patricia gave us a map and pointed out every turn and route to follow.

As the hotel is located between Granada (around 7 km) and Sierra Nevada (around 24 km), it is possible to enjoy both city life as well as the nature. We went hiking everyday and it was very easy to find different routes to enjoy. If you love nature, then this location is perfect! We did not go skiing, but we know other guests who went to Sierra Nevada during the day and they seemed happy with travel distance.

We had dinner at the hotel all three nights and we were delighted every time. The waiter Paolo was kind and attentive and helped me pick out the perfect wine to accompany the meal. He also made a great gin and tonic! The last night they served "secreto iberico" and it was the tastiest pork we had ever eaten, so succulent and cooked to perfection. We definitely recommend having dinner at the hotel.
Breakfast was also great with a variety of breads, fruits, pastries, yoghurt, juice, coffee, cooked options etc.

The hotel was very clean and our room was newly renovated to a high standard. Even tough it was cold outside, the hotel felt warm and cosy. The decorations in the hotel are also well thought through and we really felt that it was our second home during our stay.

Apart from great food and the excellent location we cannot emphasise enough how amazing the staff really is. Patricia is a lovely owner who takes pride in her work and treats her staff with respect and isn't afraid to ask for feedback in order to improve her service. We appreciated that all the staff took their time to talk to us and ask us if we need anything. We also noticed the green and sustainable initiative of working with local distributors, using solar panels, replacing plastics etc, as well as conserving the natural and cultural heritage of the surrounding areas. So important.

We had an amazing time and we will definitely be back!

We spent 4D3N in Feb 23. Greatly impressed by the sustainability focus of the hotel, fresh produce as seen in the scrumptious breakfast (menu changes daily), cosy decor, warm and sincere hospitality. Special thanks to Patricia for checking in with the guests everyday and offering tips on the Granada area. Oh, and do offer Pipa and Fermin some pets when you are there 🐶

We couldn't recommend this hotel more. It was perfect. From the very warm welcome from the owner when we arrived, to the wonderful four course dinners, and the lovely room with terrace overlooking the breathtaking views. The whole team were so professional and friendly and the owner herself full of recommendations for what to do nearby. Such a relaxing place, so convenient for the delights of Granada and fantastic walking in the Sierra Nevada. We will be back!

The best balance of rural and luxury whilst keeping it laid back and friendly - it was our first time but we’re already planning a trip back. One of the things we really liked was how every member of staff cared so much about the property/wine/food/area. Thank you 😍
