Ruta del Veleta

Everything was great, amazing food, amazing place. We had the tasting menu with wines, they might not be perfectly paired, but they were super interesting wines on their own. The service needs a little bit more training, compared to other Michelin restaurants, and most of the waiters don't speak english, which is not a big deal, but something to keep in mind. But all that is just nit picking, overall experience and food quality is top notch!

The food was excellent and so was the service, but most amazing in this place is absolutely unique for Spain wine-list. No disrespect, but in my beloved Spain there is no culture of ageing the wines (anyone connected to wine in Spain will confirm my words). Bodegas sell out everything right after minimal bottling time, the restaurants and bars do the same after they get the bottles to their cellars. Everyone needs cash. So, even in most wine-oriented restaurants regardless of where in Spain what you can get is the last vintage released to the market by a certain wine producer. Best case – second last. Thus, ending up drinking majority of wonderful wines way too early in their life span. Opening wine-list in Ruta I was really stunned seeing some special old vintages starting from 1940-s. And actually, not for unreasonable prices. My wife and I ordered one of the flagship wines from Jumilla region from “regular wine-list” and the bottle that came to our table was from 2008. I don’t know any other restaurant in Spain (and I was looking hard for last 20 years) with a wine-list like this.

Very warm and hospitable establishment run by a caring family with great attention to detail. A bit much for a standard lunch, but perfect for special occasions.

Just amazing, the food is great, service and ambiance too, it's simply perfect. Our favorite spot in Granada for Spanish cuisine. 🥰

The food at Rita del Veleta was one of the highlights of our trip. They also have an excellent wine list at very reasonable prices.

Spectacular fine dining. Fancy place without the attitude. Old school decor, a truly beautiful place. Don't miss it. Wines are incredible, just get the house wines. Don't miss out on the desserts, even if you are on a diet, you've got to cheat on this one.

Great food and fine dining. Local Granada wine pairings with each course for the tasting menu. This was our first experience with a meal like this, and it was AMAZING! Highly recommend if you're in the area and have the time.

Always excellent, great food in relaxed but cool atmosphere

Lunch here was included in our tour of the Alhambra. It was delicious and featured specialties of the region, such as fried eggplant with sugar cane honey. Roast pork wrapped in bacon was excellent.

Stopped off there while on a bus tour. We were under a time schedule. Service was so quick and everything was great!

We were here to celebrate my wifes birthday, while we were in Granada. The interior decoration is superbly over the top, the food is of a high standard and the service was friendly and professional. Yes, everything has its price, but we liked it all very much and we would certainly come back here on our next visit to Granada.
