Restaurant Chez Margot

We have been coming here for years. It's undergone a transformation. The décor is more modern and I would say it has lost a little charm. That being said, the food and service were very good. It is a little more modern too and less seafood choice. Meal: tuna 'ceviche' (more like a carpaccio) monkfish brochette, café gourmand. Someone in our party had oysters. The choice was limited. The oysters were good, but not amazing. We would go back with family, but we warned them not to expect the same restaurant they remember. That's not a bad thing, just different.

Great location in Socoa near the port. Traditional basque cuisine with great staff looking after you. Food is also very good and copious. We will return.

Great location, good prices and tasty food. Right on a marina near the border of Spain and France, we were in Spain on vacation and decided to make the drive. We had been speaking Spanish so shifting to French was as challenge but they were kind, courteous, and responsive to our needs. The, only down side is that they allow smoking on the patio. Didn't kill our vibe though!

Great location with view over the Port, really friendly staff and delicious fresh food with a good choice of dishes and wine 🤩 Dogs and children welcomed too. Defo reccomend!

Super restaurant

Un service de qualité, serveurs aimable , souriant et beaucoup d'humour.
La cuisine est délicieuse et le prix est très convenable.
Un plateau de fruit de mer avec autant de chose à l'intérieur est rare de voir ça dans un autre restaurant avec ce rapport qualité prix.

Nous reviendrons sans hésiter !!

Les Paloises

Je suis venue un samedi midi avec ma fille et mon petit chien. L'équipe du restaurant a été très attentionnée avec nous. Nous avions pris chacune un menu et les plats ont été servis sans trop d'attente. La cuisine est excellente avec les produits locaux. Le cadre est magnifique avec une vue sur la Baie de St Jean de Luz. La salle du restaurant à été très bien relookée dans le thème des pècheurs avec de magnifiques fresques.
Je recommande ce restaurant qui est le meilleur de ce charmant petit port de Socoa.

Restaurant propre avec un très bon accueil. Excellente cuisine et bon service, assiettes copieuses bien présentées. Grande salle intérieure et grande terrasse extérieure. Fort de Socoa et port à bateaux à côté. Très agréable.

Entrée plat ou dessert c’était un vrai régal, les chipirons plancha a l’ail persil fondants et goûtus, l’effeuillé de bœuf franchement je n’ai pas les mots c’était aussi grillé que fondant j’ai jamais vu ça, et le baba au rhum si vous aimez ça foncez il est dingue. Même leur pic saint loup était super.
Clairement l’endroit où j’irai dès que je passe dans le coin!!

nous y sommes arrêtés déjeuner après la visite du fort. super bien reçu et attentionné envers les chiens 🐕, fournis gamelle d eau sans rien demander. Sinon on y a très bien mangé pour une pose de midi et le café gourmand copieux et bon
