Found while looking for a place to eat on a motorbike trip, we were immediately attracted by Casa Pepa's rustic elegance, where the old construction style and materials have been kept, respecting the original style but adding comfort details that make you feel instantly at home.
But the great surprise came with the food offer.. using high quality and beautifully presented local products , which is only the preamble of the delicious mix deep taste, stimulating textures and enchanting smells..
Amazed by the "cecina" sprinkled with pollen and olive oil, and its deeep taste.. no words to describe it!
I loved, loved, loved the combination of chocolate and chicken, really surprisingly delicious.. recovering the use of chocolate which by the way, it used to be made in the region.
A big thanks to Casa Pepa for offering this very particular mix of stimuli that will for sure take me back there as soon as it is possible.

Beautiful rural hotel, authentic patio, delightful hosts. Was a very nice break from the bigger cities for us, visited Las Medulas, Astorga and Leon from here. Breakfast was good. Daily changing menu for dinner for €15 (or a la carte options), nice wines. Would recommend.
If you're a light sleeper you should bring earplugs, because in the ground floor room you can hear the people on the first floor walking etc pretty loud.

I could not thank Laura and Pepa enough for this incredible place that they have created. Laura came to pick us up and drive us to the house during the Camino. She and Pepa are the most charming and gracious of hostesses. The house and rooms are gorgeous! They are beautifully restored and decorated with hand carved furniture and great attention to detail. Both dinner and breakfast was absolutely divine, with local ingredients, wonderful wine and such a great atmosphere. The next day, before we left Papa gave us apples and cookies to take with us and Laura dropped us off back on the Camino route with hugs. Absolutely loved Laura, Pepa and the house. A gorgeous oasis on the Camino. Thank you 🧡

Entrar en Casa Pepa es parar el tiempo, es envolverte de calma y de buenas vibraciones. Laura y Javier nos ayudaron y nos arroparon como si nos conocieran de toda la vida, sois fantásticos. El desayuno es espectacular, rico y casero. La comida buenísima. El comedor, la entrada, el patio...no hay rincón que no tenga su encanto. Estamos lejos pero no dudéis que volveremos para probar ese cocido y charlar de nuestras cosas en común.

Restaurante excelente especializado en platos tradicionales maragatos. Carta breve pero muy sustanciosa con excelente calidad de la materia prima, atención exquisita y un entorno muy especial al estar una casa tradicional de la zona de La
Maragatería.

Un lugar tranquilo y acogedor regentado con mimo y amabilidad, con una cocina riquísima y familiar, donde degustar entre otras cosas el cocido maragato.

Un hotel muy recomendable. Con mucho encanto, buen trato, un desayuno casero excepcional y el personal de la casa, educados, atentos y discretos. Sí quieres alojarte en un sitio precioso y agradable este es el mejor alojamiento. Muy recomendable.

La puntuación que le asignan las reseñas (4,6) está plenamente justificada y refleja fielmente la calidad de la cocina de este lugar. Los precios son razonables, tirando a barato, y la carta muy apetecible. Las instalaciones y la decoración restituyen el espíritu y el ambiente del terreno en el que se ubican: la antigua Somoza, actualmente conocida como la Maragatería . Una madre y su hija atienden a los comensales con amabilidad y exquisita educación.
Sí estás por la zona y se os acerca la hora de comer, este sitio es una apuesta segura.

Hemos vuelto después de 5 años y volvemos a tener la misma sensación de satisfacción y comodidad. Las habitaciones cómodas, amplias y limpias. El entorno tranquilo y muy cuidado. La cocina espectacular pero el desayuno merece una mención especial. Muchas gracias por todo. Volveremos seguro.

Superbe établissement rural un peu à l'ecartvdu chemin de Compostelle mais qui mérite vraiment le détour. Excellent accueil et table à la hauteur de la réputation de cet établissement familial.

100% recomendable si quieres tranquilidad, naturaleza y comer bien. Un hotel rural muy bonito que destaca por el estilo tradicional en todas las estancias y la gastronomía. La habitación muy amplia y acogedora, bien equipada y decorada. Tiene un patio interior con terracita muy agradable cuando hace solecito. El restaurante sirve desayunos, comidas y cenas, a buen precio y de gran calidad, perfecto para tener todo cubierto si te hospedas varios días. Gracias por todo, estuvimos fenomenal.

Cogi el menú diario por 15 euros y me supo a gloria. Ensalada de arroz muy rica, el morcillo tierno y riquisimo y la tarta de la abuela de las mejores que he probado. Volveré y espero que no sea por motivos de trabajo
