Such a superb restaurant in a great village. Top class traditional cooking, fusion of Spanish quality ingredients and Italian recipes. Not to be missed.

It's rare that every aspect of a dining experience is perfect, however that is what we experienced when we visited La Tasca de Jesus Pobre. The setting was wonderfully bohemian, but authentic, not novelty. As twilight hit, the night sky became the ceiling, the quirky little lamps came on and relaxed music washed over the courtyard. The staff were friendly, efficient and enthusiastic, but in the right amounts. The food was... just magnificent. You know those times when you eat tiny mouthfuls, really slowly because you just don't want it to end? Well that's La Tasca for sure. I've paid three times the amount for food this good in London. I'm sure they don't need my endorsement, because you have to book a good week in advance to get a table, but they have it nonetheless!

If you are in Javea/Denia you MUST come to Jesus Pobre for dinner at LaTasca. Wether you want traditional Italian food or fish declined in Thai style, this is the place. Home made desserts and a choice of excellent wines are the only conclusion you can expect.

Visited here as part of a wedding reception. It was the first time they had hosted a wedding party and they did a great job.

The food was lovely and came out in a steady stream of small plates. The staff were great and the owner had made mini mojito slushy things that were delicious. The courtyard is a lovely, enclosed space with plenty of shade for keeping you out of direct sunlight.

Would totally recommend.

Sitting at the table right beside a lively band, a guitar player/singer and a lady with a beautiful voice, both bringing the right mood to this amazing rustic place with great people and really tasty food on a chilly windy Friday night was the right choice. The big nice terrace was closed on account of the weather so all the magic was happening inside and the warm environment mixed with the best service and food and the music made this place really attractive...the whole restaurant ended up singing along with the live band.

Jesus Pobre is a little out-of-the-way village but has a world class restaurant in the middle of the town. The Italian food here is as good as it gets. Lovely room, great service.

This restaurant deserves more than 5 stars! Every dish was beautifully presented and cooked, good service with friendly waitors and reasonably priced house wine (12€ per litre)- also very tasty!

We ordered a burrata for start, and liked it so much that we ordered it a second time after mains. You could tell that lots of heart and passion went into the cooking and they clearly took pride in their food. We were blown away by every other dish we ordered, from starter to dessert, and we left feeling very full and happy. Such a hidden gem in a small mountain town and would highly recommend a visit!

Top class kitchen and warm cheerful ambiance. Staff is very kind, genious, smiley and jouful.I have never seen and tasted such an original plates in spain. There is a special touch in every dish and explosion of different flavors and textures. I reccomend! This restaurant is a must for everybody, locals and tourists. If you leave Jesus pobre without going there, you are really missing a lot! I will definitely go back to eat there again and again.

FANTASTIC food. Lots if veggie and vegan options. One of the best meals I've had in Spain!

Fantastic food, atmosphere and staff.

Always good, we have visited La Tasca over the years and the food is excellent, look out for the tuna and wasabi!

My lastest visit, 5th June 2021, was fab. Food as good as it's ever been, lovely welcome from Alex and his team, great service too.
