What a pretty Sangria... and delicious too!!
We had some tapas and a toastie... both were tasty!!
High chairs (no low ones) but they were comfortable enough.
Lots of locals here... obviously popular!!

Love this place. Buy fresh produce from the market and the bar will cook it on the plancha for €2.50 per person. Amazing! Thursday is market day so it can be really busy during the Summer. Any other day it’s filled with locals enjoying tapas. There’s also a really good wine list and juice bar 😁

The place to go if you want to see what tapas culture is all about. The staff are very attentive and the ambience is lively. The menu is extensive and everything is delicious and fresh.

Very good indeed. The fish tortilla was extraordinary. Below the tostade with fish (diah named marina alta) which was also great.

Very decent prices, always has people around so good vibe, can even eat outside on nice days. Prices are very fair, and quality is OK. go for their cocas, and their tortilla is also good (usually 3 options to pick from). They have vegetarian choices, and best of all a digital menu where you can add what you want to the cart and show it to order

Tapas bar for tourists,good quality and friendly staff ,lots of choices... atmosphere is good and it's better prices than the arenal or the port ...gives you a sense of the village without being too village.

Superb unpretentious bar located in the corner inside the market. Great selection of drinks and well worth a visit for morning coffee and one of the tostada specials. Excellent customer service and great coffee. Bar Mercat is always buzzing and is a great place to enjoy pre dinner drinks in the old town.

We have been enjoying tapas and vino here for years with proprietor Salvador and seen the bar expand to its current level. Best place for tapas and great wine very reasonably priced. Higaditos and albondigas my favourite.
