A sense of achievement reaching the lighthouse along the 'Cami de Ronda' shame it was closed - I suggest you check if its going to be open😕.
Originally opened in April 1858 with a lamp fuelled with olive oil apparently visible from 14 miles !!
Technology has taken over and it now is partnered with a shore radar station. Great view out to Tarragona port 👌

Walked the coastal path from la pineda to far de cap salou then to cala font hotel. Beautiful scenery but rugged terrain, thoroughly enjoyed it but hard going in the heat.

Great place to start the coastal walk back into Salou. We got a taxi here and did the beautiful walk back.
Take swimming stuff as loads of lovely beaches to stop at for a swim.
Walk takes a good few hours and can be challenging in the heat depending time of year you go.

We couldn't gain access, the gates were locked. It is an operational lighthouse near La Pinada and the Port of Tarragona. There is a pathway along the cliffs with good views.

There is beautiful trail connecting Cap Salou to LA Pineda. Ist a bit rugged, so wear a gold pair of trail shoes. There cement cones to mark the trail.
