Restaurante Caldea

Excellent restaurant, superb attention from the staff, we felt at home being treated well since sec 1. Came earlier to our reservation, they cleaned a tall table at the bar so we could spend spare some drinks before going to the table. Decoration is something worth seeing, fireplaces running in different places of the house making the stance so comfy. Food was surprisingly good, of course we checked in maps before going (rated 4.6 at the time being) but I have to say that it overcome my expectations for good.
Recommended and amazing surroundings

Exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, the service and most importantly the food! We tried the dishes created by the chef (not classic Spanish cuisine). Enjoyed the mix of saltiness, sweetness! Nice touch of complimentary starter and sorbet! Definitely consider to come back.

This is an special place, not a random Castilian grill (which are great themselves) but a place where they take this concept and experiment with it, delivering incredibly original dishes that taste and feel unique.

The roasted stuffed lamb leg is a good example of that.

"Bombones de Morcilla" are a must-order.

The service is specially good. Two waiters feel like twenty, efficient, nice and easy going.

One of my favorite places to dine in the "Sierra de Madrid". From the quality of the locally sourced ingredients to the attention of the staff, it never disappoints. Add to that the beautiful surroundings and decoration, the Caldea is well worth a visit. PS: it's obligatory to try the boletus in season.

Great place, with a very special atmosphere, warm and holiday-feeling. Very tasty food, great service. Will go there again if we get to the area.

Le propuse a mi pareja ir a la cascada del Purgatorio. Y me contestó: “Vale, y comemos en Rascafría”.
Así que busqué aparcamiento a la salida del pueblo y vi este lugar justo al lado. Como tenía buenas reseñas, al finalizar la ruta fuimos a comer. Íbamos con un perrete, por lo que comimos en la terraza. He de decir que me hubiera gustado comer dentro, porque el sitio es muy bonito y acogedor. El trato del personal estuvo perfecto y la comida…, la comida es una maravilla.
Sin duda, vamos a volver, y si estás por la zona te recomiendo que vayas. No defrauda.

Comimos con nuestra hija y nuestro perro en la terraza. La comida buenísima y el servicio fantástico. Fueron súper amables, atentos con mis alergias y con la niña. Solo hay que tener en cuenta que el precio es elevado y que el servicio, al menos en la terraza, llevó su tiempo; por lo que es mejor ir sin prisas y disfrutar la comida relajadamente.

Fui con mi padre en un día precioso y según entramos el trato fue estupendo, en cuanto a la carta ,daban ganas de probarlo todo, pedimos croquetas de ropa vieja y croquetas de cabrales y membrillo, luego los bombones de morcilla que creo que ha sido de las cosas más ricas que hemos probado nunca, y para el siguiente plato nos trajeron como un sorbete de maracuyá para el contraste de sabores, que sin duda fue lo mejor. Después el solomillo de ternera que merece más que la pena, por último de postre pedimos el helado de violeta y la nube de maracuyá y madre mía que gusto más inefable😍. Podría decir fácilmente que ha sido de los mejores restaurantes que podría haber pisado. Por no hablar de la decoración que es como estar en una casita es todo precioso. Gracias al personal por esta experiencia maravillosa.
