Riding Andalucia

My wife and I did a lovely 4-hour walk with Rafael. I’m a beginner and he was very accommodating (and patient). Learned a tremendous amount while enjoying the incredible scenery of Alpujarras.

Raphael (owner and guide) met us the night before to orient us. Next day, he and Paco readied our four horses, then with a good orientation in the corral and astride our horses, Raphael led us up a narrow trail to the high ridge between these two Alpujarran valleys. Gorgeous views. Helpful commentary by Raphael and he hollered over his shoulder about flora, fauna, geology and some history. A two hour circle was fun, inspiring, and memorable. Highly recommended. Note, the trail can be steep and narrow, and meanders along some steep terrain, but the horses solidly know their way, and Raphael is a sensitive guide. The four of us enjoyed it immensely.

Rafael led us up a narrow trail to the high parts of Alpujarra. Gorgeous views from the mountains and a lot of nice curiosities/history tales told by Rafael.

My friend and I spent 3 days riding with Raphael in the beautiful Sierra Nevada mountains in Southern Spain. I have been on many horse riding excursions before with other groups but Riding Andalusia is my favorite. While other groups have a routine trail, Raphael will customize your trek based on your riding experience, the weather and even the horses you have that day. Raphael has showed us not only the amazingly beautiful scenario but also taught us how to improve our riding and our ability to connect with the horses. Besides the riding, Raphael was a very warm host and took us around the local spots in town so that we felt that we got a very authentic local experience. We also took some Flamenco lessons as part of our overall horse riding package and that was super memorable. We absolutely loved our time in Bubion and highly recommend it! We will be back and hope to join Raphael in horse treks in other areas around the world!

My partner and I visted from Australia and had thw most wonderful time riding these beautiful horses with friendly.guides through beautiful mountainside of southern spain. My partner had never ridden before and was orovided a suitable horse and had an enjoyable time. I highly reccomend these rides and will visot again when next in Spain.
We also rented the lovely country style accomodation which was close to town and delightful inside. Thw host made every attempt to accomodate us and was extremely helpful

If you want to go for a nice ride out in the country go for Riding Abdalucia in Bubion. Good guide and nice horses .

Fui con mis dos amigas a dar un paseo ya que me encantan los caballos y me lo regalaron por mi cumple. Rafa y Paco fueron muy amables, Rafa nos guió durante toda la ruta y fue estupenda; paisajes muy bonitos, paseo muy tranquilo y conversaciones muy amenas. Lo recomiendo muchísimo si quieres disfrutar de un bonito rato en la naturaleza junto a unos nobles caballos. Sin duda volveremos !!

Vandaag met mijn dochter en nichtje gaan rijden. Het was als een droom die uitkwam. De paarden zijn top verzorgd en de uitleg van Rafaël en Paco zijn heel duidelijk. De switch tussen klassiek rijden en bij hen in de bergen gaat soepel. Ik en de meisjes voelden ons ten allen tijde heel veilig. We kijken er dan ook naar uit om volgend jaar opnieuw de bergen in te gaan met de paarden!

Mi amiga y yo hemos dado un paseo a caballo con Paco y Rafa y no podemos más que recomendar encarecidamente la experiencia. Caballos super mansos y perfectamente domados, sanos y cuidados. Precio asequible y diversión garantizada.

Experiencia inolvidable!!!!! Rafael es todo un Cawboy Alpujarreño, hace que la aventura sea para recordar. No necesitas saber nada de montar a caballo, en un mini curso antes de la excursión Rafael te pone las pilas rápido!!!....y después......a disfrutar de dos horas que se hicieron cortísimas!!!! REPETIREMOS SEGURO!!!!

Una de las mejores rutas de alta montaña que he hecho. Las panorámicas son espectaculares y los caballos están entrenados y en una forma física estupenda. Rafa , el guía, muy atento y un gran profesional. Totalmente recomendable.

Muchos años viniendo a Capileira y mi parada obligatoria es la ruta a caballo, el paisaje es maravillos (en la última salida que hice llegamos a cruzarnos con cabras montesas) Rafael y Paco son entrañables, sus consejos y experiencia te dan seguridad.
Solo añadir que tienen unos caballos espectaculares, nobles y muy cuidados.
Totalmente recomendable.

Avec une amie, nous avons effectué 2 balades de 2 heures (une avec son assistant Paco et une autre avec Rafael). Étant une débutante a cheval, ils ont su me mettre à l’aise et les chevaux sont super calmes ! Le paysage est incroyable!
Si vous avez l’occasion de passer à Bubión, n’hésitez pas à faire cette balade qui vaut vraiment le détour !

GRACIAS RAFAEL, después de hacer varias rutas por España ha sido de las mejores, por no desmerecer otras. Los caballos bien cuidados y nobles, te lo hacian todo fácil con tramos muy emocinantes.

La mejor experiencia que hemos podido tener!!!! Rafael, el dueño, te explica todo lo necesario y te ayuda para que aprendas lo básico y puedas disfrutar de la ruta al máximo. Los caballos son dóciles y obedientes. La ruta espectacular, unos paisajes de película a los que no llegarías solo, nos ha encantado y repetiremos sin dudarlo. 100% recomendado, no te arrepentirás.

¡ESPECTACULAR! He hecho rutas por varios sitios de Andalucia y esta, sin duda, ha sido una de las mejores. Una ruta llena de emocion, con momentos de relajarte y momentos de quitar el hipo, ¡¡vaya paisajes!!!! con unos caballos maravillosos que te hacen sentir segura y dan mucha confianza. El dueño Rafael y su ayudante Paco nos han ayudado en todo y han sido super amables, aparte de tener mucha experiencia, te enseñan super bien y los caballos estan encantados con ellos. La cuadra esta super cuidada y hay gallinas, gatitos y un perro adorable!!! Si vas a la Alpujarra no puedes perderte esta experiencia, nosotros volveremos en cuanto podamos!!!!

Un agradable paseo a caballo acompañado de los sonidos de la naturaleza a través de sierra nevada, un plan inmejorable, y si añadimos que Rafael, el monitor es un señor muy amable y agradable y además un gran profesor, la experiencia se vuelve una de las mejores que se pueden tener. Si vas a la Alpujarra y te gustan los caballos, es una parada obligatoria!
