Botavara San José

This restaurant was wonderful and the atmosphere was charming. Mohamed was an excellent waiter. He is very kind and knowledgeable about the menu choices. We had grilled corvina fish with charred vegetables. It was delicious! We would highly recommend dining here.

Suburb restaurant located at the end of the harbour in San Jose. Great mix of seating options with terraces and balconies overlooking the moorings or cosy tables in the restaurants interior. Visited on a windy night so they gave us a great table inside with views over the port. Excellent service and very attentive to us, which can be hard when you eat out with a 2 and 6 year old!

Over the evening we enjoyed some well presented and tasty dishes. For me the highlights were the beef fillet steak from Avila and the fried dorado (gilt headed sea bream). Kids polished off kiddies menu of croquetas, eggs and chips in no time and enjoyed cheese cake and carrot cake for dessert.

Thanks to all the team for a great evening can´t wait for our next trip to Cabo de Gata to repeat.

A beautiful restaurant set along the pier, lovely fish (they showed us the catch of the day), fish was crispy, fried to perfection, fries on the side were crunchy from the outside and soft from the inside, just the way I like them! They also served us a complementary entre( fried aubergine) that was also delicious. Dessert - chocolate tart was a nice ending to our evening! Highly recommend this place! Staff barely spoke English but understood us perfectly… :)

Clean, tidy upmarket restaurant..farthest end of the Marina. Worth the short extra walk. Several teraces to chose from. Watch where the sun and shade is. Pleasant staff, good food, not too expensive but reassuringly upmarket prices. Some nice views of the Marina, beaches and coastline, depending on where you are seated. Quiet in the afternoon for drinks and tapas if you want to sit and admire the view..

The service was like 5 star hotel, waiters were exceptional. They treated us like we were coming here everyday, eventhough it was a first time for us.
The food was very delicious, I don't remember the names of the fish but it was unforgettable. Highly recommended

Very attentive service, best squid I have ever had! Location in the harbor offers a very nice view. Staff was extremely friendly! Definitely worth a visit!

The staff was patient with my poor Spanish. The meal was delicious. We ordered croquetas, a fish from the zone, and a cheesecake. The cheesecake was the best I've ever had.
