Beautiful palace in a lovely location. We did not upgrade room so view and space smaller than some. Service in main atrium was slow but they were very busy used by locals as meeting venue.

We stayed for one night in January as part of our 'Around Spain' roadtrip. Both delighted by this hotel service was exemplary - notably the front desk and restaurant. The food was great (try the suckling pig). We upgraded to the superior room for an extra 30 euros. Courtyard view of the city was amazing. Do it 😁

Loved staying in an old palace. Never heard of a parador before this trip. Room was everything it should be. Beds are firmer than I prefer but that’s Spain for you. Service was friendly and helpful. Town is cute, Wednesday market outside our window was delightful.

I didn't sleep here, rather stopped for food. It's very fancy, with a really nice atmosphere. The service was good, and the food was excellent. Highly recommended if you want some traditional Spanish food.

Very impressive building overlooking the main square with its bars and cafes. Good but not outstanding food. Decent local walks around the town. Nice big public area in the centre for a drink, a snack and a chat. The best parador we stayed in.

Amazing building. A Ducal Palace.
Plenty of parking space outside in the square.
Underground garage available €9 to Amigos.
We had a lovely large room on the ground floor. Tea coffee facilities in the room. A large en-suite bathroom with a whirlpool bath and large window overlooking the fields below. Even a choice of pillows! I like a thin down filled pillow rather than the traditional bolsters... so perfect. Breakfast is taken on the 3rd floor. It appears you can sit out on a balcony too. The breakfast selection is extensive local dishes, all beautifully cooked. A Nespresso machine delivers decaf for those who prefer less caffeine.
I wish we had planned to stay another night. Next time...

Lovely location. Our room 202 faced North with an incredible vista. Good for bird spotting too. We didn't eat there so can't comment on that aspect. Rooms were comfortable and spacious.

The hotel forms on side of the main square. The stag are helpful and friendly. Inside the hotel is superb - it has been beautifully renovated while keeping the original features. Our room overlooked the patio and the plain below. We parked right outside the hotel. There is a secure garage but that costs extra (6 or 8 euros I can't remember exactly). We loved the hotel.

Very comfortable and grand hotel. The covered patio in the centre of the building is a great place to have coffee or drinks. The rooms are large, comfortable and clean. We had a corner room for the first time in many visits which was interesting. The main restaurant is reasonably comfortable but has limited natural light. However, the menu is varied and everything we tried was delicious. Cochinillo, cordero asado, duck liver and hake all tried and enjoyed. Restaurant staff were super-knowledgeable and helpful, easily managing gluten intolerance, for example. Well worth a detour if travelling between North of Spain and Madrid.

What a great experience! The Lerma Parador is one of the most amazing hotels I have had the pleasure to stay in. Set in a small town next to the A1 the Lerma Parador is a perfect place for a weekend stay. Excellent food! Fantastic staff! Amazing atmosphere!

Lovely building with some great fittings and decorations. Helpful professional staff. Location is superb. Special mention for a lady receptionist I think called Lorraine. Thanks for trying to help with some mislaid keys.

What a place! In the wet room equipped suites, can you please ensure that a portable hoist can fit under the beds? I will definitely go back here. Simply wonderful.

A good hotel to overnight in, if travelling from southern Spain up to either Santander or Bilbao ferry ports. Former home of the Duke of Lerma, the hilltop village has an Aura of history about it as does the hotel itself. The rooms are spacious and very comfortable old Spanish and the evening dining experience exceptional with lots of local cuisine and wines, all served up in a medieval banqueting hall. Breakfast if you can manage it is served in the 1st floor morning room overlooking the large central cobbled plaza and guaranteed to set you up for the day's driving ahead! If non of the above, just relax with a glass of wine or two in the large comfortable central foyer and admire the Gothic style ancient architecture and the Spanish people socialising. There is an underground carpark and market day in the plaza is each Wednesday.

The reality is that you can't go wrong with any of the Paradores here in spain. The service is courteous, attentive and professional. The building is emblematic and centrally located. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and functional. The decoration is in accordance with the the historical theme of the building. And the breakfast are great. Any Paradores is great.

A glorious building to use as a hotel. God bless the Spanish state for rescuing it and converting it into a Parador. Beautiful rooms and great staff, doing a brilliant job during these strange times.
